I just received my K1 Case number from NVC, but the packet hasn't been sent to Lima Peru yet. Can my fiancee go ahead and schedule his Medical Exam or does he need to wait for something from the Embassy?

No need to wait. Read in other postongs that there is a backlog in Lima, so more of a reason to go ahead. My specific experience is in Poland and we booked as soon as I knew petition had reached Poland.

How do you know where to schedule your medical examination if you don't have the list of approved providers/doctors? Is there a way to find out in advance where to go?

You should be able to find a list on your Embassy site (see under Embassy Info... top of this page)..

Actually the civil surgeons for Peru have been in flux in the past year. Two of them are no longer working with the Embassy and have stopped taking appointments. I don't know if they've found others to replace them on the list. Either way, you can't make the medical appointment without your interview letter. You'll have to wait, unfortunately.

Edit: I found this, but you still have to wait for your letter. The doctor's office won't allow you to make the appointment until then. We used Dr. Corigliano and liked him a lot. When you get to the Clinica, be prepared to wait for hours, as they schedule dozens of people for the same appointment and you have to have various tests done all around the clinic. If you get there early, you're more likely to finish first.

The panel physicians are:

Dr. Sandro Corigliano

Address: Clínica Anglo Americana | Av. Alfredo Salazar 350, San Isidro

Telephone: 222-2192, 616-8900 x1450, 1451 & 1458

Office hours: Tuesday & Thursday, from 8:30am to 11:30am; Monday & Friday, from 3:00pm to 5:30pm

Dra. Viviana Mélinchon

Address: Paseo de la República 6065, San Antonio, Miraflores

Telephone: 447-3654 y 981-036-823

Office hours: Monday to Friday, from 10:00am to 1:00pm & from 3:00pm to 7:00pm; Saturday, from 10:00am to 1:00pm
