Police Certificates for Brazilian Fiancee

How can my Fiancee in Brazil start the process of getting the Police Certificates done now? Is there some formal process in Brazil? I have no idea and I don't know what to tell her. We want to get this done in advance, rather than waiting for Packet 3 in order to save time.

Basicall she needs to download the forms to request the certificates from the consulate and go to the Federal Police and the Secretaria de Segurança Pública. If she lives in São Paulo state she can get it online or from Poupatempo.

I don't know about the other states, but in São Paulo, we don't need to show the forms to request any police certificate.

Here you'll find a list of the federal police offices organized by state: http://www.dpf.gov.br/web/unidad.htm - Time of issuance will vary. In São Paulo, it takes 15 days (copy of RG and a form that will be given when we wait in line will be needed).

For the state certificate, in order to help you with more accurate info, I'd need to know the state she lives in.

and in some cases depending on the State, she may have to travel to the Capital of that State for the Secretaria de Segurança Pública Certificate. Unfortunetly, that is what my fiance had to do, and now she has to go back to pick it up...

then click on VISAS at the top left hand corner blue tab bar

then middle of the page, there are 2 columns, the one on the right is IMMIGRATION VISA, under that column, click on FORMS FOR FIANCE VISAS

scroll down the page, and you'll see State and Federal Police certficate information, requests and lists. Good luck!
