Having your husband apply for a tourist visa....with the intent of "staying", in my opinion is not a good idea. You have to make that decision, but be careful with it. It could cause many issues for you during this process. I hope you think it out thoroughly before you act on it. I think most of us would have done the same, just to have our husbands here with us. Waiting isnt easy but if the tourist visa will cause you issues it could delay your wait even more. I suggest you call the embassy and speak to someone there before you act on this. Best wishes

I thought I had better give everyone an update. I had him apply for a tourist visa but he was denied for intent to immigrate. She did not want to see his evidence of ties, blah blah blah. At least we tried to be together and we were not cowards.

Thank God this process has gone faster then I had anticipated.

I did write the embassy and President Obama with my concerns over this process and allowing people to have tourist visa to visit their spouses from other countries. I feel they are penalizing me for the sins of others. I gave some suggestions to ensure no AOS will ever be filed from USA. I do not believe they will listen but I felt better after sending them my thoughts and solutions to issues that seem to affect many MENA couples.

Good Luck and God Bless to all!
