Hi friends.....

I filed my wife's AOS in late May 2006 and got our NOA1 on May 24th. She came on a Fiance Visa in March. We married in the allowed time frame, I filed the papers METICULOUSLY and AS REQUIRED by USCIS.

She had her Biometrics appt in mid-June and she already got her EAD Card,.....but NO TOUCHES on her AOS (I-485) since June 17th!

Should I be wondering if there is a problem? I received no RFE and quite honestly - there is NOTHING lacking in the file I assembled. And, I make well beyond the reuired income and have sent PROOF - 3 yrs of Tax Returns.

I called the general USCIS phone number but spoke to only the automated system with my MSC receipt number.

Any advice? Is there even a number I can call to speak with someone - a live person? Will it even help?

Thanks for the advice.

Cheers!

An Infopass will certainly give you much more information than the 1-800 number ever will. You've not got much to lose, so go ahead and talk to them. Most likely there's not a problem, they're just being slow - but it can't hurt to inquire.

I agree with the last two posters but I do not think it is time to get worried yet.

What is the timeline for interviews at your local office?

I would be surprised if they were processing AoS that quickly, its only been a few months.

It probably will not hurt to go talk to someone at the local office but I don't think something is necessarily wrong. My wife's I-485 was received in Chicago on May 2 and was touched only twice, on 6-2 and then on 8-11 when they sent us a RFE. Since they received the response to RFE last week it has been touched three times in four days.

Don't worry too much about touches...though I know it's HARD!

I was totally obsessed with touches and used to check the website every hour! :hehe:

My application was touched a lot of times until my biometrics appointment but nothing after that, until I received the Welcome Letter and the Green Card in the mail and my status online changed only a week after the approval!

If it helps you feel better and you don't live too far from your local office, I agree that making an Infopass appointment and asking about it is much better than calling the information line, but don't worry too much!
