Islamabad email turnaround time?

So, I emailed Islamabad Thursday. I was wondering if any of you have emailed Islamabad and how long it took them to email you back. I dont want to seem like Im bothering them, but I would like to get the gears rolling asap.

They replied to my first and second emails about addys docs about a day later each time.

I figured id give them today and if i dont get a reply by the time they close, i email them again. i just want to effectively create a sense of urgency without being rude.

exactly...they aren't well known for answering the phone or emails very quickly.... I usually saw an email by the time i got up in the mornings. Im sure they will reply soon.

I have been trying to get an update on my case from Islamabad Embassy but they keep telling me that their lines are down and asking me to call back next day. I also sent them a couple of emails but all I got back was their 'general FAQs', nothing specific to my case inquiry. Has anyone else tried to contact the Immigrant Visa Unit and had any luck? Is there any other way to get an update from them?

there is a diff email address u need to use ill msg u when i get home what that address is they should reply in a day or two after

Eabaas may I get that email too please? Our petition has just been forwarded to the embassy yesterday from NVC. I would also like to know what we should put on the subject line. Thanks =)

Use this email address the other one doesnt get read by anybody and shoots out a standard info email back

You should always include your case number in the subject line and the issue you are having

Also include in the body of the email

case number

petitioner name and DOB

beneficiary name and DOB

I also included our interview date as well

then ask your questions or give your concerns and they should reply in a day or two.

We are still waiting on our NOA2 and I am feared about this AP issue. I just contacted our congressman's office and asked them to inquire about our case, inshallah we will hear something next week.

I have been reading up on all the Pakistani couples here

Not all couples getting AP if you go to that link and click on enable advanced mode just above on the right of the timelines you will see when their interview was and if they recieved visa yet. Some have within days, weeks and some havent for months. You can also do a timeline search after you click enable advanced mode and put in jan of 2011 for the interview date leaving evthing else blank and you will see just those for this year.

Good luck and really it wont take but maybe up to a year.. for MOST cases...Inshallah

Any luck with your AP? We still get the pending no updates info from DOS... emailed embassy myself just the other day and to date no reply...

Nothing yet. I called them a few times and they just told me that they have received my document and it's being reviewed. I don't know how long it'll take to finally get this journey over. I think it's just a matter of them picking up our file, confirmring they now have all the documents and simply sending the passport with the visa. It may not make any difference but I was wondering if your husband could make an appointment with the embassy and talk to them in person. I know it's been a long time since he had his interview.

Wish it was that easy but im sure they wont do that.. we just have to endure this ap.... but i know its bcos im american/white and older so it raised red flags but we were able to overcome them so we just have to wait the last of the background checks but who knows how many they put him thru..cos they obviously wont say...hopefully they will review your docs soon and you will see the visa...
