Just waiting for my interview in Vancouver in Aug then I'll have my K1, now after I apply for AOS I was just wondering what is the process AFTER I've received EAD and travel permit? I'll wait for my greencard then? I can apply for citizenship in 5 yrs? is that correct? Will I have to deal with USCIS b4 I apply for citizenship? Does my greencard expire? Any info would be great just wondering what the process is after AOS?

Thanks

You will get conditional green card which will expire in 2 years. Before it expires you have to apply to remove conditions, you will get 10 year green card. If you stay married to your petitioner, you can apply for citizenship after 3 years of being LPR.

AOS is finished when you get your Greencard. You will be eligible to apply for citizenship in 3 years after you get the GC if you stay married, 5 years if you don't. You will need to file to "Remove conditions" in 2 years. Your GC will expire in 2 years, and 90 days before expiration you must deal with USCIS again and send in form I-751 and evidence that you are still happily married, or if divorced, you file for a waiver of this requirement by submitting the same form. EAD and AP are temporary measures meant for use before you get your GC - you won't need them after that. Good luck!

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
