I just got the APPROVAL of the VISA at the Manila US Embassy last July 8, 2011! :star::wow: I want to express our sincere and heartfelt THANKS to all VJers who shared their experience 'cos that really helped us (my Fiance and I) with our journey since day 1. Now, it's pay back time! :) I would would also love to share mine to all other VJers for some tips and what to do during the medical exam and to the final interview at the Manila USEM.

One tip at SLMEC is to REGISTER ONLINE at this website: http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

and to let the GUARD know that you have already REGISTERED ONLINE. Otherwise, you'll be

given a Priority number and wait for couple of hours until your number will be called. Just like

what happen to me I waited for 2hours for my number to be called only to find out that there's

a separate and easier queue for online registration. The guard didn't even bother to ask if it's

online or not. Well, lesson learned. But that's okey 'cos I've passed the Medical Exam anyway

and that's what matters most. So, I want you guys to learn from my experience.

Here are the things that you need to bring at the SLMEC.

1. Valid passport

2. 1 copy - Photocopy of the front page of your passport (where you have your name all other info)

3. Original copy - Eligibility Letter (letter that you received from US Embassy with the MNL# located at the bottom of the letter; which was delivered by Air21)

4. 1 copy - Printed Email that you've received from SLMEC after you signed up online.

5. 3 pcs. US Visa photographs. (Make sure you have the right measurements of the photo, specially the upper head size). Just tell the studio that you need a US Visa Photo, and I think that's 2x2.

6. 1 copy - Appointment Letter with your Interview Schedule.

7. Payment for Adults: Php9387.50 which is $213.35 (Ops, I don't have the exact rate for children but for sure it's less than the amount of the adults)

8. Black ballpen - I think sign pen is not allowed even at the USEM.

9. No foods are allowed, you can only bring bottled water.

God Bless us all. Keep the faith!(L)(F)
