hey everyone,

i have abit of an awkward and embarassing issue here. Me and my fiance just filed for the k-1 today. My fiance in the U.S who just filed for me sent in all the appropriate documents, proof, etc. He had a good amount of papers together from our conversations over the time we have been dating and he just realized and told me he completly forgot to edit (black marker out) our "sexual talk" which we usually have quite alot of in our convos, we are also into some strange things too (which i wont mention) which i dont think helps our situation... He already sent the papers and everything today.Im COMPLETLY embarassed. I thought you were suposed to marker that stuff out, are you? will anything go wrong if the USCIS sees that kinda talk? :(

sorry for the awkward question!! has anyone left that kinda talk in there conversations and sent it in?

thank you!!

We left in all the dirty details for all of our things. If you black things out, I'd be more suspicious as to what they might have underneath them to be completely honest.

USCIS will see a couple seriously deprived of each other and if it was just bland emails and talking, they'd probably be a bit bored :P

There is no requirement to edit talk of sexual nature. However, it's usually not included for obvious reasons.

While it is embarrasing, I don't see how talk of a personal nature could adversely affect a petition (I could be wrong). I would be willing to bet that people have mistakenly or otherwise included this kind of talk before so it would not be the first time an adjudicator would see these kinds of conversations in a file.

I think they say ..."you may blank out"... not that you have to or need to. Agree with Ryan H that it has surely happened before where people haven't read through every word of what they have sent.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

I've not heard of any denials at USCIS based on inclusion of sexual talk or sexual perversions (For clear definition of perversions, look up the fetish list at alt.com )

I've also not heard of any RFEs that are focused on sexual conduct/congress.

But hey - I only hang out here at VJ and CFV - we're a bit looser at CFV, is talk of bungee cords with toilet seats there.. ;)

I also honestly left all sex talk in my convo with my fiance. it first off would take entirely too long for me to sit there with a black marker trying to black out stuff. and i figured that they want to see a real relationship right??? so thats what ppl in a real relationship do. especially ones that are apart from eachother. its normal so dont be embarassed.

Hahahaha! I plan on keeping my petition after the process is over (the copy anyway, lol) so if you plan on doing the same, don't forget that stuff is in there and one day let your kids read it!! I remember reading love letters that my dad sent to my mom when he was working in Tennessee, she didn't edit the steamy ones out. Now THAT was an eye opener!

Don't be embarrassed about the officers reading them, if they're really really interesting, they will remember you a little more is all before they pass you on to the next desk! They are all professionals, and likely need to sign some kind of nondisclosure or privacy act statement for their job, so none of it should ever come back to haunt you, but as to if your relationship is bonafide?? They might not ask for proof of relationship status, fearing what they MIGHT get back from you as proof!!!

You need to give us more info on what the convo said so we can help.

I am joking by the way lol.

I'm sure the USCIS have seen and plenty and a lot worse. Don't worry about it. Be thankful yours is just in writing. Me and the wife were on holiday in Toronto in 2006 and we took naughty pics. Some nob stole our camera a few days later :innocent:

I would be embarrassed as well so I do completely understand. I blacked out anything person and had a conversation with my K1 interviewer about it. He told me it doesn't PROVE a real relationship at all because some people will talk like that thinking it DOES prove a real relationship... So they tend to ignore it. They don't tend to READ the conversations too in-depth. He told me that some people actually submit personal PHOTOS!! So while it is embarrassing they'll probably just ignore it and move on.

I would be pretty mad at my fiance for not having had the good judgment to edit such conversations. In fact, for the actual petition no such conversations were needed. All that was needed as far as proof of relationship was evidence of having met in person within the last two years and affidavits from both of you stating your willingness to marry. You can now just hope that neither the adjudicator nor the consul has the time or interest to read your sexual conversations and they go ignored and unread...

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

This actually is good proof of a relationsip. Don't worry. They really just want to see you do talk. Think they had time in 2 days at USCID to read my 2000 pages.?? no, they wanted it but sent me on to NVC is 2 days after my 4 page RFE and 25 pounds of evidence.

Actually no its not. If you read my prior post i was told specifically by the IO that its not a good thing OR a bad thing. People will fake relationships for a GC, personal gain/profit. People have one night stands and express themselves in such a manner. It means nothing in terms of proving a substantial relationship.. and in my personal opinion knowingly leaving it in there is very crass behaviour... akin to having sex in public (it's kinda creepy to know THAT much personal info about someone). The poor OP :( At least it was sent to people she doesn't know and will never really "know".
