Hi, I'm turning 21 next month and i'm a college student here in Vegas and I'm a US citizen. My aunt and my grandparents are helping me for my school finances. I want to petition my parents when i turn 21, is there any possibility that they'll be approved even i'm a working student? If I can petition them they can also help me to finish my college since my parents are still young they are both 38yrs old and my mom is a registered nurse who can assist me with my needs. If yes, how about my 17yrs old brother & my 15 yrs old sister? My parents and siblings are in the Philippines right now. Thanks

You can petition for your parents. You'll have to find co-sponsors (aunt and grandparents maybe?) to meet the financial support requirements. You have to file separate petition for each parent. You also can file for your siblings, also separate petition for either, but they, unlike your parents, will have to wait for the visa number. The wait for sibling now is a little over 4 years. So your siblings will not be able to come with your parents.

Everything is spot on except the wait for F4 (Brothers and Sisters of Adult U.S. Citizens) from the Philippines which is currently 23 years!

I did not know it depended on the country, I looked at the general processing times on the USCIS website, they don't specify. Maybe it's 4 years just for I-130 to get approved...

Wow.

Thanks. I was thinking about petitioning for my sister. I guess I don't have to worry that she's going to get her visa before she's 18...

Is my aunt a possible sponsor? She's in New York and she's my moms sister...What do i need from my aunt? Can you give me specific whats included in the letter or do i need a lawyer for my petition?

whoa. assume for the moment that YOU are the sponser for your parents. (By law, regardless, you are, if you file the I-130 as the petitioner)

You're gonna need a co-sponser for the I-864, as you not make enough $$ on yer own to sponser on yer own. If your Aunt qualifies, ask her to help you. Study the I-864 instructions, soonish.

Hi - there is no letter, this isn't a tourist visa.

Please study the guides here (train yer eyeballs up, click the word guides, go forth)

You should also study the I-864, as you'll be the primary sponser for yer parents for their IR-5 visas.

You are aware that your siblings won't be eligible for visas until 11 to 23 years after your parents arrive, correct. The misinformation of 4 years was corrected in another post.

Yup im aware of it and that's what i'm worried about...After I filed for the petition for my parents how long does it take for approval? How long does it take before my parents can receive their GC? After receiving GC can my parents petition my siblings? for how long if they're still under 21? are there any ways that we can do so we can petition my sibling fast and not wait for 2 decades?

They can petition for them as soon as they receive their GC, but it will still be anywhere from 11 to 23 years before a visa is available. So, are the parents willing to leave the children behind in the Phil, until they are adults?

I don't see the value in doing this, but I am not you.

One of my friend advised me that I will need to earn enough to satisfy the affidavits of support...but as per this forum advised, it doesn't matter even I'm a student and don't have enough money to support them as long as my aunt(my moms sister) will file for I-864 and I will file for I-130, right?

For my siblings are they allowed for F2A visa? by the time i file my petition for my parents my brother is 19 or 20yrs old and my sister is 18-19yr old. I really want my family to come all together, even my parents don't want to leave without them :(
