Hello, everyone.

I received NOA 1 about 2 month ago, but case with this receipt number doesn't show up online (and it can't be located on automated system either).

Is it a reason for concern? Should I call them, or don't even bother?

Would like to hear from people, who have been in same situation with online case access.

It's not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It's because we dare not venture that they are difficult. (Seneca Junior)

You don't have to worry about the status on the USCIS website. I was approved mid June and my status is still didn't show up.

I disagree, I have had the USCIS lose things, only to miraculously to be found after months of inquiry. It is only through persistence that you can assure that things stay on track. Follow up.

Patience is required for this process.

My NOA1 was May 4, 2011... VSC similar to you. Mine does not show up in the system, I'm not calling, and I'm not worried. If 5 months passes and I hear nothing and it's still not showing up in the system, then I'll call.

Well... you can call...

We had the same problem and my fiance called and e-mailed them a couple of times, but all they said was that yes, they had our case and no, they couldn't fix the problem.

I kept checking though  And our case appeared online after we got approved.

What does USCIS losing things have to do with case status on their website?

The OP received their NOA1 two months ago. There is nothing to follow up on. No need to unnecessarily worry people.
