Hello there Guys, how is everyone doing? I am not at the Interview Step yet, but I wanted to ask for the people who got intervewed in New Delhi, what Documenst did you guys take with you? I am sending all the Orginal Docs to NVC for my wife and I wanted to ask what will my wife need when she goes for the interview. I don't see the Embassy people asking for orginal since the orginal will be with NVC Case. Also what is the best option of getting the orginal back. I will be putting a request with NVC to return my orginal Docs when my wife goes for the interview, so please share your thoughts!

Thank You!

Josh

Hi Josh,

First of all check out this link,

http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/media/pdf-visas/iv-visa-information--packet-4.pdf

you can find same as in delhi webside. The check list is almost same for everybody. From that check list, what ever you summite to NVC those documents you don't have to summite to Delhi consulate. For instance, if you summite Orignal birth certificate to NVC then you don't have to bring to the consulate.

And don't worry about all those original documents. Your wife will get it back from Delhi consulate ones she done with interview if she got approve. They never keep original documents except PCC. so you will be ok.

But tell your wife to take all copies of what ever you summite to NVC, AOS packege, DS 230 package, and I130 package. We never know what they want and in case if some documents may miss place by NVC then your wife can show them and mention that you already summited with NVC and these are copies.

Let me ask you one things, why you didn't get interview date? Has you case been completed with NVC? Because when i show you timeline you paid IV fees in Jun and this is Aug. They don't take that much longer so check it our with NVC. NVC needs maximum 20 business days to review paper. Good luck with your interview.
