Our story is a long very sweet story, but I won't put everyone through that here. We were married in November of 2008, filed the I-130 & I-485 in march of 2009, received his conditional green card in July of 2009. It was a very quick, extremely pleasant journey.

Skip ahead two years! It's time to remove the conditions.

We filed in April 2011, got our receipt approximately a week later, and got his biometrics appointment notice a couple weeks ago, the appointment was for today. We went no problems, very pleasant helpful staff.

I don't really understand what happens now! They did a scan f all 10 fingers, took a new photo & got a new signature. My husband said they match the new finger prints to the old ones.

His green card expires in a few weeks. When do we find out about the interview? Were those fingerprints standard procedure?

If any one can shed a little light n this for me I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

Yes, it is standard. You will either get an appointment letter or just an approval notice now (or possibly an RFE). Good luck.

Hi Kittykisses73:)

I am right behind you. Going back to your concerns mentioned here, you have done your part. The Fingerprinting and picture is standard procedure for everybody. I have come across members on VJ who have had their cases decided in less than 6 months and others have been waiting for more than a year. If your husbands GC is expiring you can make an infopass and have his passport stamped. Also I have just read a post where some senior members have suggested to go ahead and apply for naturalization if you are in the time frame, while your ROC is still pending for a decision. Good Luck and glad to see you are doing well:)

Oh wow it's been a long time! How are the kids?

It's going pretty smooth, much like the first time! Just didn't understand The whole finger print thing again.

Thanks for the reply! Hope all is well!
