HEY VJ,

WE GOT OUR I-130 APPROVED ON JUNE 23 BUT OUR CASE HAVE NOT ASSIGN YET. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE NVC CASE NUMBER?

USCIS
03/01/2011: I-130 mailed
03/18/2011: Priority date
03/23/2011: NOA1 Hardcopy
06/23/2011: NOA 2 (97 days since NOA1)
06/27/2011: NOA2 Hardcopy
NVC
07/28/2011: NVC case number &IIN (35 days since NOA2)
08/03/2011: AOS fee bill received and paid
08/03/2011: DS-3032 email sent to NVC
08/04/2011: AOS fee payment status shows "PAID"
08/04/2011: AOS package sent to NVC (Delivered at NVC 8/5)
08/08/2011: DS-3032 accepted
08/09/2011: IV fee bill received and paid
08/10/2011: IV fee payment status shows "PAID"
08/11/2011: AOS package accepted
08/13/2011: IV package sent to NVC (Delivered at NVC 8/15)
08/22/2011: IV package accepted
08/22/2011: Case completed (25 days since case# assigned)

02/02/2011: I-130 Sent

02/03/2011: USPS delivery confirmation

02/08/2011: NOA1 (text message + email)

02/09/2011: Touched

05/31/2011: NOA2 text and email

06/20/2011: NVC finally received our case!!

06/24/2011: Assigned case and INN number

06/24/2011: Received AOS Bill/Instructions, and DS3032

06/26/2011: Sent Choice of Agent form via email

06/27/2011: Paid I-864 bill

06/30/2011: Mailed I-864 packet

07/01/2011: DS-3032 was accepted

07/05/2011: Received Packet IV

07/06/2011: Paid IV bill

09/10/2011: Mailed IV packet

09/15/2011: Got a checklist! :(

09/19/2011: Sent completed checklist

09/22/2011: Case complete!!!!

09/29/2011: Received Packet 4, Assigned interview date

09/30/2011: Case forwarded to foreign consulate

U.S. Consulate in Asunción, Paraguay

10-03-2011: Medical Exam

10-12-2011: Medical Results picked up

11-01-2011: Interview at 2:30PM. APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, MY I-130 got approved yesterday. I called NVC automated system to find my NVC number. Am I doing it correct?

CSC is currently taking 30 plus days. There are cases waiting since 6/15/2011.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

yes you will get the NVC and IIN number,

NVC is overwhelmed with all these quick approvals so you might have to wait a long time to receive them, some june approvals still didn't receive their numbers.

Yes, fortunately you are not alone. It's not lost, don't worry. According to other posts and topics, they are currently processing some NOA2's from 6/16-6/20 at the current time. If you want to keep yourself updated with the status, follow this forum:

In my case, it took exactly 1 month after NOA2 approval for NVC to assign a case number.

USCIS NOA2 - 06/20/11

NVC Case assigned - 07/20/11 (I called last night and was given case number. I called again this morning and was given IIN).

NOA2 to NVC (32 days to get Case number)
NVC: (28 days)
07/18/2011 - NVC Received and got NVC case#.
07/18/2011 - Send my Naturalization Certificate via mail and email for upgrading my case from F2A to CR1.
07/19/2011 - Gave both emails to NVC and received IIN#
07/21/2011 - Got confirmation email about changing my petition from F2A to CR1. Up-gradation took 4 business days.
07/29/2011 - AOS Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
07/29/2011 - DS-3032 Email sent to NVC from beneficiary.
08/01/2011 - AOS package invoice shows "PAID" and Package mailed to NVC.
08/02/2011 - DS-3032 received by NVC.
08/03/2011 - IV Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.

At the current rate (assuming the NVC continues to fall behind roughly 2 days per week) You can expect to get to NVC around July 28/29.

..but call everyday, at the very least it gives them a reason to fix the problem and you never know when they are going to catch up.

Oh, dont you wish we could say "3 working days" like the good old days?

Now we hear "15 working days plus 3-6 weeks, but don't call for 30 days, and then after that don't expect anything until 90 days at NVC." Too crazy.

Current trend is, as stated above, 1 month NOA2 --> NVC.

:ot: Man do I wish I were a Welsh buttercup right now! Timing, timing, timing... drn it.
