Guys,

We want to know if there are any other "gotchas" we need to aware of when actually leaving the Philippines? I plan to go there and get them. My fiancée will be bringing her two daughters as K2s.

Assuming everyone has their visa's, cfo, stickers, etc., is there anything else we need to be prepared for, like at the airport or US POE?

For the members that have already made this journey, please share your experiences so that we may learn from you.

Mar 21 2013 - Got CG for Uriel. We are done for 2 years

Sept 24 2015 REF - Need more info to establish residency and shared financials

I haven't done it yet but I want to add the two - Terminal fee of 750 pesos each and the sealed envelope that you have to give to the immigration officer upon POE. :)

October 2008 - we first met each other at work (Makati, Philippines)

February 2010 - we finally admitted that we are in love (yay!)

Mar 18-Apr 5, 2010 - hubby went to the Philippines for vacation to celebrate his birthday

March 31, 2010 - engagement day!! yay!!

August 21-29, 2010 - hubby went back again to PH for the wedding prep

October 19-November 2, 2010 - hubby arrived in PH for our wedding :)

October 23, 2010 - WEDDING DAY!!

March 18-28, 2011 - hubby's visit to Philippines for his bday (2nd bday together)

USCIS Stage - 136 days for USCIS journey

December 2, 2010 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

December 6, 2010 - I-130 received!! yay!!

December 13, 2010 - NOA1 text message received!

December 16, 2010 - NOA1 hard copy received in the mail

April 28, 2011 - NOA2!!! Thank you LORD!

NVC Stage - 21 days for NVC journey

May 2, 2011 - NOA2 hard copy received in the mail; NVC received our case

May 6, 2011 - Case number and IIN ; DS3230 sent by beneficiary through email to NVC

May 10, 2011 - AOS bill invoiced and paid

May 13, 2011 - IV bill generated and paid

May 16, 2011 - IV bill shows "PAID" ; AOS and DS230 packets sent to NVC

May 18, 2011 - NVC received both packets

May 19, 2011 - Medical exam - PASSED!!! :)

May 27, 2011 - Sign in Failed and Case Complete!!! Woot!

June 9, 2011 - Interview date assigned

July 14, 2011 - Interview @8:30am - APPROVED!!!!

July 21, 2011 - Visa Received! FINALLY!

July 23, 2011 - POE - Salt Lake City, Utah *home sweet home*

not only the airport tax but if iam not mistaken theres a fee like 2600 peso for the them too leave the country , someone correct me if iam wrong?.. :thumbs:

02/05/2011...get a e-mail notice of NOA-1...states case transferred to CSC
02/08/2011...check clears my bank
02/10/2011... rec. hardcopy NOA-1 in mail...priority date..01/31/2011.....sit back relax and ride this slow mule!!
02/14/2011... touched ( it must have fallen on the floor )..hehe
05/12/2011...NOA-2 OMG...98days u kidding me!!!!!!!

05/26/2011... finally got NVC case number...
05/28/2011... receive DS-3032 in e-mail/e-mailed the DS-3032 back
05/28/2011... receive AOS fee bill/ and paid online.
06/01/2011... AOS fee bill shows paid.
06/02/2011... DS-3032 accepted
06/03/2011... IV-bill generated and sented by e-mail
06/04/2011... Paid IV fee bill/ in progress
06/07/2011... IV fee bill showed paid/ downloaded cover sheet
06/08/2011... Express mail both the I-864(AOS) and DS-230
06/09/2011... Confirmed del at 11:10am signed by N visa center.

opps........its called a PI travel tax, i think its 1260 peso, thats if you havent paid it throu your ticket, might check that then the terminal tax of 750, just double check ok .... :thumbs:

I remember about the airport tax, I have been to the Philippines 3 times and last 2 years, but I am concerned about any documentation that would be needed other than passports and visa's.

The one thing that caught me off guard on my first trip to the Philippines that was that the airport usage tax had to be paid in Pesos :)

yeah and if you buy the tickets from anywhere other than a travel agent in the PI there is an tax they have to pay at the airport. My wife paid 1620 pesos travel tax and 750 pesos terminal use fee. I bought her ticket online so she had to pay the travel tax...if tickets are bought in the PI, normally the tax is already included in the price of the ticket. Verify first so that you know she will have enough money to get though the airport.

They will just need their visas, CFO stamps, and packet that they give to POE here in the US. I know of nothing else that they would need.

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.
