Hello VJ members,

I sent my DS230 and others documents (except PCC) a week ago. But i now i got PCC. So i m confuse that weather do i send PCC to NVC or not? When i sent my ds230, i mention in my cover later following statement "We are not able to obtain Passport PCC without Interview letter in India's jurisdiction. As per the local jurisdiction where my wife resides a Passort PCC can not be obtained without an official interview letter from Bombay consulate. So The PCC will be shown at the time of the interview." Before i send DS 230 documents to NVC, i confirmed with many NVC operators about that and they said " for Bombay (BMB) consulate applicant can summite their pcc at time of interview. Moreover, they said they have note in their computer that bombay consulate people have problem about getting pcc from their jurisdiction so they can provide at the time of interview. Now my question is that if i send pcc now they will say why did mention in your cover later that you are not able to get pcc without appointment later.

I called to NVC and they said for bombay consulate applicant can bring pcc at the time of interview. Luckly my spouse got pcc on base of IV fees barcord sheet paper and i got it here yesterday.

Now i confuse , should i go ahead and send pcc? I was just wondering my statement that i made it. And one my friend got case complete at NVC without pcc. He is also dealing with Bombay consulate.

Any feedback who is done with Bombay can share their experience.

Thank you all Vj members for co-operation.

Hitu,

I understand all of the anxiety of doing the process correctly. But, you don't want to anything to complicate what you have sent in already.

Not only your friend, but several other immigration sites people have made it thru NVC without an RFE where Mumbai consulate handles our files. Several friends of mine that have gone thru this process have done it the same and have had no issues.

Let them work the file as it is. Have your spouse keep the PCC and have it shown at the interview. Just be happy that she has one thing done before her interview and all she has left to worry about is VFS and her medical.

Be patient...let the system they have in place work. Remember this the USA we are dealing with not India...You know things work a quite be more systematic here then back home.... rofl.gif

The problem is the state of Gujarat is tough to get a Passport Clerance Cert. to send to NVC with the I.V. packet. They want an offical document from the U.S. with the beneficary's name and indian adress on the document. Some have had to wait for an RFE to get the document to be able to obtain the PCC. Some are lucky and get away with the I.V. package barcoded sheet and they can get it that way.

I personally am sending in a true certified copy of the local pcc my wife was able to obtain and stating like the O.P. (which seems to have copied my exact words in another thread about what I am writing on my coversheet about showing the passport PCC at time of interview... laughing.gif No problem though, glad I could help) that the Passport PCC will be shown at time of the interview.

After the interview date is generated. My wife will obtain her PCC, finish her medical and pay the VFS all in one trip to save time, money and stress.

I don't about other countries. I posted a question on PCC and a couple of guys who gone through the process shared stating that just the Passport Clearance Certificate is all that is required for India. They also said that it can be submitted at the time of interview time, where there are issues. Indian Consulates know which passport offices are insisting on interview letters.......

We are fortunate Vizag Passport Office issued on the same day (the passport office is asking for the local police clearance certificate).

Thats correct.

Ahmedabad Passport Office does not issue without the interview letter. Some people do slip thru the cracks though and are able to obtain it without it.

You are also correct that they want the local clearance cert. to obtain the passport clearance cert.

Hi Dave,

You know it we had good conversation about PCC. I really appreciated that you gave me good guidance. And sorry for little copy your writing. I was not getting anything in my mind at that time. It was seems to me dipress  so i just wrote what you suggest. The reason i m in tense cuz i want as quick as possible and don't want RFE. It delays two to three weeks. Trust me, i did not vest my time about collecting documents. I reread everytime just wait for coversheet and sent it overnight courier for AOS and also DS230. I did not delay even one day. Just this PCC document make my position worse and worse.

You know it quite difficult for us to stay away from wife after got married. who can understand our feeling? And we our Gujarati so we can nt stay longer than others.

By the way, passport office issued two copies so i have one over here with me and another my wife got it. I was expected interview in Aug cuz NVC received my DS230 package on 1st July but still it is not even in their system so i m now hopping in Sep between 10 to 20. So Can i just wait for NVC reply right?

I like your writing system. You are a good writer with more sophisticate. If you don't mind what is your email Id.

Thank you and Good for your NVC #

No big deal about coping my statement there....I am actually glad I could be of help to you! :)

I do understand how difficult it is staying away from our loved ones (our wives). These days that go by are really tough on both of us (Kinnari and Myself) and each day seems like months and each month seems like years. I do have days where I am doing well and some days are just down right horrible and I want to push the reset button and start over.

From meeting Kinnari the first time and getting married was 1 month and then from after getting married to coming back to the USA was 1 month. We had an arranged marriage. Just as I was getting to know my life partner I was ripped away from her and had to return home to be back in time for Spring Semester in Nursing School. It was a very tough Spring Semester but I got through it with a lot of help from my family, Kinnari and her family as well.

The thing is that we are making progress and you know that there are people in the same boat and going thru the same situation as we are. I keep reassuring myself and my wife that this separation is only during a small timeframe in our lives, once this is behind us we have a whole lifetime together. This is what keeps me going hitu.

Gujarari loko tho juda che beja Indians kartha, me a gujarti ma laku etle beja Indians hoi a message board uper guse na thai ane jagdo na kare. lol

I will send you my e-mail ID in a private message.

I wish you and your wife the best in the rest of your Immigration Journey.

I am sure I will be contacting you for info down the road as it seems your wife will have an interview before mine unless I get an expedite of some sort (which I am not expecting).

LOL...Men have feelings too ya know!

I don't care what others think of me if I say I miss my wife 394098923824 times a day... Marriage is a special thing in life and I value it to the fullest.

As I remember hearing the saying from a friend a while back "The greatest feeling in life, is to love and to be loved in return." I finally can understand this quote to it's true potential...

i am sorry if i hurt you. i did not mean to hurt you.

I agree with Dave its just down right horrible to be separated from ur loved ones...

but u guys should consider ur self lucky... looking at ur time line u guys are getting approved right around 100 days mark...

compared to filer from last year july/august... it was just down right torture for us going back and forth from cali to texas and again back to cali...

keep up the faith... and keep talking to ur spouse... and 1 thing i have learnt about this process is that never promise ur spouse about when things are going to be approved and give them a set month of when u expect things will get done... this whole process has tested our relationship and also brought out the best and worst in our relationship... but i know soon she will be with me and it will all be over...

interview coming up in about a week and am just praying not to hit anymore bumps in the middle...
