Checking in again, still no word on AOS after being transferred to CSC. We have the EAD/AP however, although we don't have a pressing need for either at this time.

  • Nov 16, 2010: Sent Packet 3 forms to Montreal via post
  • Nov 30, 2010: Packet 4 received, interview scheduled
  • Mar 09, 2011: Interview in Montreal - passed!
  • Apr 27, 2011: Entry to US, wondrously uneventful
  • Jun 08, 2011: Official marriage in US
  • Jul 15, 2011: Sent AOS forms
  • Jul 21, 2011: NOA1 for I-485, EAD and AP
  • Aug 11, 2011: Received notice that I-485 case has been transferred to CSC

Three hours untill my appointment for Green Card Approval in Seattle

Approved in Seattle very quick process today. Mom got approved on 3/31/2011 took along time and home interview. Today was a breeze.

Greetings and congratulations to everyone who completed their AOS!

I was wondering about mine... When I look at my update online (USCIS website) it says they received my I-485. I received a letter informing their transferred it to National Benefits Center on July 22. I received my EAD/AP combo card but haven`t heard anything about my case being transferred to my local USCIS office... is this normal procedure? Was your ever transferred again after NBC?

Sorry it is taking so long to hear back from them. You are almost there, the next touch on your case is going to be interview/testing..... I believe your case status should change any moment from now. just give it two weeks. If not you may need to contact your congressman to see if he can be of help

Interview today. Didn't take 15 mins. Didn't ask to see any of our photos. Just told my wife to fill out a G328 cos she didn't fill it out innitialy. Approved in the spot and told to expect the card in 14 days but I believe I will have it in 8 days. Thanks everyone and those waitin on interviews God will favors us all.

Hi everyone.

Filed for AOS in July. After a fairly smooth K1 process we never expected the nightmare me have experienced with the AOS process. There have been no mistakes on our part, it has been entirely incompetence and unprofessionalism at USCIS that has messed this up beyond belief. We filed for my wife and each of her three children and only one (the oldest child) has gone smoothly. I'm a believer in adding accurate timelines to this site so others can know what to expect but the amount of info I'd have to post would be impossible.

Seriously, if you imagined the worst possible sequence of events you would not have imagined this. You just could not make this stuff up. Yes, we got our congressman involved but it changed nothing. He will be hearing from me again tomorrow. We have paid thousands to our government for the priviledge of being jerked around, lied to, played games with. The only possible explaination for some of this is that it has been intentional. We have just gotten to the point that any step forward, no matter how small, is counted as a victory.

I must emphasize again, we studied the process, we submitted everything correctly, we have the income, we've done our part right!!! Yet here we are, frustrated beyond words. This system is clearly broken!

Thanks for letting me vent. I'm sorry I haven't given specifics. It has been so screwed up that it's hard for us to follow and we're living it! I've given up trying to explain it to people.

We filed in July for AOS off tourist visa. His interview was November 7 and by December we still hadn't heard a word. So the beginning of this month we went for Info Pass and they had nothing to tell us. So we waited a few more weeks and I contacted the congressman's office, today I got the same answer. Still pending :( what can we do next, its been almost 3 months since his interview and because we have no insurance and he has medical issues and wants to go back home to take care of things.

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(
