Congrats to all who recently got approvals or received cards in hands! It looks like July filers will soon put this process to rest for 1.5 years!

09/03/2010 - NOA1

02/02/2011 - NOA2 text message and an email (~5 months later)

04/26/2011 - Interview! Visa APPROVED and issued! yAAAy

05/20/2011 - POE: LAX

06/03/2011 - Wedding!!

07/07/2011 - Adilet got his SSN!

07/11/2011 - Sent our AOS package (AOS & EAD)

07/13/2011 - NOA1 text message and an email

08/09/2011 - Biometrics taken

09/01/2011 - Email notification that our interview is set for October 14.

09/23/2011 - Email notification that Adilet's EAD is in production.

10/04/2011 - EAD in hands.

10/14/2011 - Interview. GC APPROVED on the spot! Yeah!

11/01/2011 - GC in hands

My EAD was approved on 9/27 (email) and then I received an email on 10/3 indicating the same (exact same email except for the date, I would think this is called a touch) and then today I received one more email informing me that a notice was mailed. I am hoping this is the EAD card and that I would receive it in a day or two.

I hope everyone's application is moving along as well.

I have not yet heard anything about my green card. No Appointment data, no touches since 8/4.

The multiple notices are just USCIS operating at its bumbling best. You might get a couple more before you get your EAD card. As for the GC, I think the big delay there is that USCIS appearently has to do the same background check it did for your visa. Waiting is the only thing to do.

Ah, thanks for the response. I hope I don't get any more emails before I get the EAD (being optimistic about getting it this week, based on the forums) so I could start working on Monday.

All I need is the EAD for now, I am no rush to get the GC, can easily wait one more month before getting frustrated as I have to plan to visit the motherland with the wifey :)

On the interview letter they say to bring a certified copy of the mariage licence...Where do we get a cetified copy? Can't I just bring the original and they do a copy on their own ?

I start stressing...interview is next tuesday :wacko:

Hi Carine,

You can get certified copies from the court where you got married. It doesn't cost much. Best of luck next week!

Sept 6, 2011 - Txt/email rcvd with receipt numbers

Sept 10, 2011 - Notice of Action email for AOS, EAD, and AP.

Sept 23, 2011 - Received Biometrics notice scheduled for Oct 14th

Sept 27, 2011 - Early walk in biometrics

bring the original. the one they sent u after u got married. the one with the seal or something like that. our co didnt even asked for it coz he was looking at the color copy i sent in with our AOS file.

We still haven't received our GC.. It's been almost a month since they notified us about the "card production". Our interview was set to October 14.. We are not sure if we should show up on the interview or keep waiting for the card. I was hoping this would be already over..

I'll call them today to find out what we should do..
