Well I will be in Bogota the night before our Interview at the Embassy, 21 SEP 06.

My fiancee will be there in Bogota on the morning of the 18th to do her medical exams and other last minute items like photos and such.

If any of you guys have questions about the area, hotels, airlines, etc. Let me know. Also my fiancee would LOVE to meet anyone else that will be going through the process as she has said she will be going crazy being in Bogota (new city to her) waiting for the final day.

So if you have questions or would like to forward contact information so your fiancee can ask questions in spanish...just ask.

Also I found a great deal, in my opinion on a place to stay. It is a one bedroom apartment with free breakfast, phone calls to the US and Canada and internet for only $45 a night. They also have single rooms w/ private bath for as cheap as $30 a night.

I have been to Bogota three times now, but I'm afraid about the only questions I could answer are about flying into the Bogota airport, or what's on the breakfast buffet at the Radisson.

I will also be traveling to Bogota from 9/26 to 10/1 for our interview at the embassy. Obviously we are anxious to get this process completed.

That is great. We checked out the website for the apartments. Only thing they don't give a rate prior to entering the credit card information. Also, any idea on how soon the Visa will be issued ? is this an overnight wait or does it take longer to receive it ?

I have been told by several here at VJ that the visa in Bogota are issued the next business day. They use to send them to you via messenger, but I think you now leave your passport and come the next day to pick it up.

Congratulations..I have a question how can you find out trough the embassy website your appointment date before package 3 arrive? I try and I have not been able to do it

I just got my NOA2 on 9/12, so if all goes as planned my fiance should have her interview by November. I would defenitly like it if my fiance could contact your fiance sometime after her interview so she can relay her experience...... Yes after the interview is done and your fiancée’s visa is approved, she leaves the passport and they tell her she must return by 4:00pm the next working day.

There is no way to know your interview date before packet #3. Your or your fiancé(e) must send in packet #3 to the U.S. Embassy in Bogota. If packet #3 gets there before the cut-off date which varies from 12 to the 19th of the month, then you get the interview the following month. If not then you get it the month after that.

Hi, I have my inteview on Oct 3rd and I would like ot know what vaccines did she had in her records, I when to La Cruz Roja Colombiana, and they said I needed 3 of them and I got the shot, but I like to know if those are the right ones. Plese, let me know which ones your fiance had....THANKS!

-Triple viral

Those were the shot I got, I have no idea what they are exactly but they said those are the required ones for adults.

I have the packet 3 list and it states:

1. varicela

2. Td

3. MMR

You had 2 of those, I wonder if the triple viral is the same as the MMR.

I'm interested in this info as well since I'm trying to figure out which ones my fiance would need......if any.
