hi, i´ve tried getting in touch with the US embassy in Madrid but no luck, again, wondering if anyone can point me to some answers.

I´m a usc and only beginning the process of filing a I-130 and G325A for my husband, a spanish citizen. We married and live in spain but would like to move to the states in the next year, therefore i´m filing the papers.

I would like to do it through DCF but have heard that its no longer available in spain, is that right??

Also, to file the papers, is it necessary to do it in person or can they be mailed? I ask mainly because we are in Barcelona and that would mean traveling to Madrid for filing and then again for the interview.

Also, has anyone just recently gone through or going through the process? what is the current time estimate for the whole process? the site says 9-12 months but im wondering if they just dont want to over-promise and in actuallity its shorter than that.

thanks a bunch for any help anyone can give me with this!
