This is the type of answer I DREAD to see. Yes, it's true that there is no deadline date to file AOS, but think of the trouble, hassle and problems you create if you wait months and years to file the AOS. Why would a petitioner not want his beneficiary to NOT have an EAD and Green Card?

Please, Please, DO NOT send out the wrong message.

YOU HAVE TO FILE AOS. Otherwise, you might have just smuggled her in on the boat and saved all those K1 fees.

Instead, tell them: "Technically, there is no deadline to file AOS. But the wise man files it for his beloved as soon as possible after getting married. The wise man saved money to pay AOS right away because he cares and wants his love to get to the finish line quickly and have all the rights and privileges therein.

Think spirit, and NOT letter of the law here.
