All of those talking ###### about my post, you should learn to read and analyze a little bit better. And I HAVE lived in Russia and I know how the law works there and here. Everyone is corrupt over there but at least there is someone to talk to, someone to pay off. There is no one here but mindless automatons on the phone who could care less about your situation. I would move from THIS America as soon as I get a real chance to make the kind of money and have the kind of real freedom I want. This is not the same America my parents brought me to. I loved this country but this is not the same country anymore. Tea party, Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin. Being stupid is a good thing these days and that doesn't work for me. The US of A even with all its flaws is still the best country to live in in the entire free world. I, for one, wouldn't want to trade places with one

the illegal aliens living in this country. Going through this immigration process really tests one's patience. Vent all you want, but, the process

is what it is and is there to actually protect the US government. Is it flawed? Yes, but it is the only way to get your loved one here with you

OP - you did not complain about your K-1 being approved ahead of other people, did you?.. so don't complain about others getting a few weeks ahead of you now. There is some randomness to the process and it will all work out in the end.

Expecting the government to be more efficient is just a waste of time.

US civil service employees are mostly made up of the stupidest and laziest people in America. These are rejects who could not find a real job, so they settle for working at Social Security or Customs and Immigration (USCIS). They don't make a lot of money, so they don't put any effort in the job. There is no accountability there nobody really takes ownership of the cases they take on. I think the managers and supervisors are the same way. Everybody does just enough not to get fired.

It's like the movie "Office Space" when the consultants ask Peter how much he works during the course of the day. He says that he has no incentive to do anymore than the minimum needed not to get fired.

First of all, I hope that you are able to complete this process soon and be with your SO. It is a very frustrating situation to be separated from the one you love.

Don't post whining on a public forum if you don't want people to respond to your post. Insulting other posters because you don't like what they say about a topic you started is childish and immature. You knew getting into this (or you should have if you'd read up on the process) that there is a chance the process would take a while. There are people who get approved quickly, and people whose cases take months, perhaps years. Immigration is not a right, it is a privilege.

This is confusing. So, you're happy to live in America to work and have freedom, but only until you get enough of both to move to another country? Please clarify.

After going through the process (2x! First for wife, then for daughter), I can honestly say that I thought it was a good process. Its slow, but hey...the process works. I'm glad that I was provided with the avenue to bring my wife and daughter to the USA, and they're both citizens now.

So what if it took a while...at the start of the process the USCIS made it very clear that it would be a slow process, and they were true to their word...but did keep to their projected timeframe

Blessings to you OP as you progress through the rest of your journey. It will be over before you know it...though that might be impossible for you to believe at the moment. Hang in there!

I dont usualy get involved in political chit chat, but this is quite interesting. Besides, Charles is waiting for more . . .

As an individual its fine to sit back and curse others for their interference in your life, ie: USCIS vs. Russia Baby

However, USCIS didnt ask/tell you to go find a partner outside of the USA, out of the over 300 million people here, wasnt 1, just 1 good enough for you ? But you did, and now you want to be with them, and USCIS says, okay . . . but here are some hoops for you to jump through and its going to cost a small fortune. Again, your decision to start jumping and paying, no one at any time has ever forced this decision on you. I could go on and on, but at the end of the day, anyone and everyone making the decision to move, needs to know what they are getting into in every aspect.

Now if you really really hate it, the entire process, I would suggest that instead of sitting back and complaining about how the process interferes in your life, get off your butt and start lobbying, this is your right as a USC, so go do something about it.

Or move to Russia and start jumping their hoops. But a post like this, ESPECIALY with your time-line, has very little to complain about. People here might agree with you that the time apart sucks, but I think most people here understand and respect the process. Your post is anything but.

People really do need to remember that immigration is a privilage, not a right.

I used to LOVE this country and worked for Bill Clinton, John Kerry and Obama's campaigns but I have since stopped and will not support any political candidate or party. Our system is corrupt and that's that... I am not here to debate politics. If you want to be a troll, go to foxnews.... Dont bring your ###### to me. I will leave America, if I have to, because its not working for the people anymore. When my parents brought me here 20 years ago, I knew that anyone and everyone could make it if they worked their asses of. Not anymore, people slave, work 2 jobs, both husband and wife work and they still cant make it because its become a nation for walmart people and the rich... there is no middle class and if there is no middle class, there is no happiness... it becomes an oligarchy, a corporatacracy or whatever else you want to call it....

I apologize if I have offended anyone personally. I am not here to fight. I am just frustrated with what has become of this once great nation.
