Fixed!

I wish the US would standardise on red being left wing like the rest of the world

I find it very confusing to see red square in moscow and hear the labour party singing the red flag and then I find that the reds in idaho refer to either potatoes or bow legged john wayne types who explode ground hogs for fun after church

It's government-sanctioned murder. I don't think what this man did was right -- I think it was a heinous crime. But I don't support the death penalty.

This is where Charles tells me I'm a DFH

you are!

fratricide in the military is taken very seriously. it's one thing with the enemy trying to kill you, it's even worse when you can't trust your fellow soldiers (and in this case, an officer).

What's happened to the world ? I haven't posted for many weeks and all the red neck, gun totin', hang-em-highs have disappeared and been replaced by normal people - have I logged on to VJ UK in error ?

Do you people eat with knives AND forks now ?

what, knives and forks haven't made it to the uk yet?

If a soldier kills a female soldier - is it still fratricide or aggravated domestic violence ?

..and if the killer is also female, is it ok to cover it up under "don't know, never tried it"

I don't disagree with you at all. Remember, I'm a military brat ("brat" being the key word here). But, I still don't support the death penalty.

Manbags are very practical

...remember euro studs need to carry very many codominiums for daily use

they also might consider sticking a dictionary in their manbag...

The vast majority of states have not abolished the death penalty.

I would rather die than be in a US prison so actually the death penalty here is plus for me while there are huge communal pens and armed guards in watch towers and ankle and waist chains and necklaces that give an electric shock etc etc

I have been in a few English prisons (not as an inmate) - and there is no comparison to what is seen on telly here

In Europe, the 'deprivation of liberty' is seen as the punishment part, (in addition to being preventative) and all this about tent cities in the desert run by the sheriff with black bread and molasses etc - and chain gangs, is a bit 18th century. Went out with cucking stools for sharp tongued women. Hum, come to think of it, let's not be hasty about changing things..
