From your story:

But days after New York state legalized same-sex marriage, the president stopped short of endorsing gay nuptials himself.

He said that the decision in New York was "a good thing" because people debated their views and came to a decision. The president said other states and communities will come to their own conclusions.

The president, who supports civil unions, has said his views on gay marriage are "evolving."

That is what annoys his gay donors. They want to see a more full throated support of gay marriage. So far all BO has done is say he's happy to see state's come to their own decisions and that he supports civil unions (not marriage).

During campaign season he clearly stated he was not in favor of gay marriage.

Yes and now he is being more weasely about it but has never actually said he supports gay marriage. I think he feels if he's ambiguous enough his gay donors will be happy.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

He should just snap his fingers sideways and buzz away some of his opponents- fabulous-style to earn hims some stereotypical points.

Well I can't complain much about Obama being anti environment and pro big oil. Like I said...it helps Alaska so kudos to him in that regard. I just wish he wasn't such a war monger. He seems a bit like ol LBJ back in his day.

Read the words. Then understand them. Then ask questions.

If you couldn't tell from my post, I was insinuating that once this turns into a big debacle (and it will) it'll be blamed on the "previous administration." Obama is quick to take the credit when things go right... he just better be careful with this one. Once it's labeled as his baby, it'll be hard to blame it on someone else.

Well, unless that someone is the Secretary of State! (Maybe that's his intention. Watch out Hillary!)
