I definetely think I-130 processing times are directly related to PDs moving faster.

Previusly before 2009.I-130 processing time was 36 months which delayed the process drastically..

Untill the I-130 is approved NVC can not process the case..Untill NVC completes the case you won't be part of the waiting list..and so the cutoff dates also will be lagging.

Now that i-130 processing times have been shortened to 5 months..The rest of the process also will be quicker.

now few service center has accepted that they will approve the cases within 5 months for f2a for example california service center...thats why now a days ppl is getting their petition approved within few months..

I-130 petitions have nothing to do with the country you are from. The current processing times for I-130 applications for F2a is 5 months.

If you don't get approval beyond that you will have to call USCIS and check if you have any RFEs or check why it's getting delayed.

I'm seeing a lot of FEb and March fillers getting I-130 approvals recently.

How ever the service center might matter.i filled with california service center.

Thank you for your reply, I think you are right about the service center, mine is Vermount and processing times show 8.7 months as of May,31.. and it's always getting longer (the period of processing times) and the date as of... moving further, so we have to wait more than 5 months!..I called them, they said they need not any additional info - RFEs as fot today..

I think the shortening of the processing time of I-130 is a dual scheme. First it will establish a long term data base for NVC and secondly it is a counter measure against CSPA. Remember that an F2a child will benefit more if her I-130 takes longer to approve because the period of waiting is a subtrahend to her age.

Next 2 months VBs will be huge because they are the end and start of the fiscal year. This also marks the anniversay period when case completed PDs ( 2007-2009) were retrogressed.

My guess for sept VB is march 2009. Remember only fools believe in guesswork. Ehehe!

Mahrukh do u have any idea that if the case in in AP in islamabad pakistan , how long does it usually take?

The time is variable. I think approximately 3 months for the AP. In what particular case are you talking about? AP under immigrant visa or non-immigrant visa?

Mahrukh
