HI sumonnahar. I AM IN THE SAME SITUATION LIKE YOU... MY PD IS NOV 23 2010 FOR MY WIFE BUT MY I-130 HAS NOT BEEN APPROVE 8 MONTHS NOW IN VERMONT...

My PD is 18 March 2011.and I got my I-130 approval Notice on July 21st(yesterday) .It just took 4 months for approval..

You should call USCIS and enquire 8 months is too much as compared to current processing times...

How come you got approval of i-130???? My PD is OCT.28, 2010 I didn't get anything either...maybe it depends on the country you are from???... I called USCIS they said they can not say anything specific, and it looks like we have to wait till the end of the year for any news..((

That is a wonderful news miraya. In fact it breathes some hope that F2A 130 are getting approved and by the virtue of the fact noted that many people with approved 130 with PDs as late as Apr 2011 are getting processed with NVC hopefully is a precursor to anticipated movement of PD in the near future of 6-8 months (as NVC qualifying date is thought to be ahead of PD by 6-8 months).May the force be with you all.

You might be right, but I was basing off responses in the other thread..in fact the one reported by interesting (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/317006-pd-oct-2010-f2a/page__p__4752188__fromsearch__1#entry4752188) indicating a user with PD Oct 2010 paying AOS bill in May 2011. Perhaps I am wrong in interpreting or jumping ahead of the gun, but sometimes maybe cautiously optimistic?

I-130 petitions have nothing to do with the country you are from. The current processing times for I-130 applications for F2a is 5 months.

If you don't get approval beyond that you will have to call USCIS and check if you have any RFEs or check why it's getting delayed.

I'm seeing a lot of FEb and March fillers getting I-130 approvals recently.

You are right,my PD is Dec.2010 but i havent got anything from NVC not even DS-3032.there could be some reason that they are approving I-130 faster than before...i have no idea.. :innocent::innocent::innocent:

I definetely think I-130 processing times are directly related to PDs moving faster.

Previusly before 2009.I-130 processing time was 36 months which delayed the process drastically..

Untill the I-130 is approved NVC can not process the case..Untill NVC completes the case you won't be part of the waiting list..and so the cutoff dates also will be lagging.

Now that i-130 processing times have been shortened to 5 months..The rest of the process also will be quicker.
