I was wondering if there was some amount of time that one should wait after your first face to face meeting before sending in the package? Can it be done during the first visit? Immediately afterwards?

Well all the requirements say is that you must have met face-to-face within the last 2 years (and even that can be gotten around.) So if you think you have enough evidence to prove your relationship and can get it all together during your first visit, I don't see why that wouldn't work.

I was wondering if there was some amount of time that one should wait after your first face to face meeting before sending in the package? Can it be done during the first visit? Immediately afterwards?

There is no set required time that one must wait after meeting for the first time before submitting the petition. The same type of evidence is required whether after one day of having met, or 1 year after having met.

So if you think you have enough evidence to prove your relationship and can get it all together during your first visit, I don't see why that wouldn't work.

Just to clarify. Evidence is not required to prove ones relationship with initial submission of I-129F. This evidence is required at interview stage. However one can include evidence in support of 'intent to marry' in the way of engagement ring receipt, documentation of wedding plans etc.

hi All, i am having the same case as most of you guys for K1, I have filed my fiance on K1 visa,

1. I sent th I129F package on Dec 15rd 2005.

2. Recieved the first letter (i think you all call it NOA1) saying they recieved my application and cashed my check etc on Dec 30th 2005.

3. Now, what, do i just wait...what does Touched means in your last few notes, how do i get to know by email about my case status...etc

Thanks everyone for clearing this up for me.

At the same time I'll bump this for papatel. And, even though I'm certainly not the person to listen to, I think the answer to your question is, yes, now you continue to wait.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, "Touched" mean they put their hands on each other.

As to your last question about checking your status, one of these other fine folk will have to help you with that.

A 'Touch' is when someone from immigration looks at your file. When you check your status online, it sometimes shows that your petition was viewed, but no change in status, that is a 'touch'
