CSC - NOA2 to NVC Delay

Still waiting on case number.

My heart skipped a beat when after the operator took my receipt number, she asked for beneficiary's birthday. Then my heart plummeted when she said, "Oh wait, you don't have a case number yet."

Then she said to expect something in 6-8 WEEKS!!!!!!! Panicked, I asked, "What happened to 10-15 business days?" She asked, "Oh, who told you that?" EVERYONE I'VE SPOKEN WITH EVERYDAY I'VE CALLED SINCE JULY 28.

I'm panicked!

Similar thing happened to me 2 days before i got my Case number - expect in a day or two.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

Sorry to hear this - 6/28 Approval and still not acknowledged by NVC. Yours is the next bad one after Jazz88 (his/her was approved on 6/16 and they just located the case papers I think day before yesterday) that NVC messed up. We are routing for you - don't give up - keep fighting and do what all you can. We will pray for you.

Thanks to what I read here, I just called again today, and the number was available to the AVR system. Nice! Now what? More reading...

Dont panic Tercerero! I have the same approval date as you and I am still not so patiently waiting. Our cases were received at NVC on August 1st and we are just waiting for them to be entered into the system. I called this morning and got one of the nicest ladies ever and she did lots of searching in their system to see what is going on. She then said it would be finished by the end of the week. We are getting close!

As far as the timeframes they give... They just have scripted lines that they are told to read from! So the 15 business days or 20 - 30 days or 45 days are all just lines they feed you to get you off the phone. Call everyday and try to get your number!

The NVC is making some progress this week it seems! There were no NOA2's done on 7/9 or 7/10 and my approval was 7/11! BLH seeing you got your case number today from a 7/8 approval is like the best news ever! Congrats! Now I have jittery belly all over again!

I really do appreciate you guys' positive outlook and willingness to share where you are in this terrible process. I just want my hubby home!

I am ready for NVC when they are ready for me! Luckily, our consulate does everything online, so I just have to enter my data and send in my supporting documents. I will call every day (sometimes twice) until I have that number!

For the folks who had their choice of agent form accepted yesterday can you touch base on here when you are invoiced for the IV bill. Since the last time I waited for the AOS bill for 2.5 weeks I just want to make sure I'm not falling through the cracks lol. If you guys get yours than hopefully mine won't be far behind :) Paranoia is setting in!

My wife (appointed agent) never received anything saying she has been appointed though.

Yeah we got the same thing. John got the email saying they accepted it but I didn't receive an email saying I was now appointed. I don't know if we get an email about the IV bill being ready to be paid now or what. I just keep checking that payment portal. FFS just want all this done already. When are you going for your medical?

I called and inquired about the processing time. Two operators told me they have a 5 to 10 business day processing time once they accept the DS-3032 e-mail, NOT counting the day you send it in.
