CSC - NOA2 to NVC Delay

Just got off the phone with NVC...nothing again.

Still gonna call 1 more time tonight before I give up for today.

If it was I am sure they would be hearing me yelling through the phone at them right now. lol

It's getting frustrating...my wife has been growing concerned too and she usually is the one telling me to calm down, we'll get it soon.

Guys, listen to them. Yes, it is frustating but it will have be come out of that pile quicker than later. We will keep lifting you both up in our prayers.

I'm laughing at myself here. Everytime I try to log into the payment portal and it takes just a milisecond longer to tell me in bright red letters that my case isn't available for further processing my heart skips a beat. I think oh man this is it the bill is ready to be paid! But then....whomp whomp....nothing...still not available. Let the cursing begin lol

Wow Day 40!. I know we should be thankful but I really expected to be further along by now. So what is everyone hoping for in terms of date of POE? I'm hoping late October - am I crazy?

Hmm.. For me I am guessing I am four weeks from them selecting an interview date for me... I see someone that had the interview set today by NVC for Colombia got September 24.. So I am guessing October 20 for an interview and a POE just before Halloween.

Oh, you are not alone. Today I sat there fiddling with the payment portal, trying to flip beween screens just in case the IV payment would change from "IN PROCESS" to "PAID". On Skype, hubby was telling me to go take a nap or do something fun instead of agonizing over the terrible systems administration at NVC/Serco/etc. I typed "I need a nap." and lo and behold, the status changed to PAID.

So - just know you are not alone in being tormented by that horrible portal interface... and the erroneous default message that should instead read, "Congrats, your case is currently being updated. Check back in ## hours."

With your case and Dave's... I wonder if that guy took your cases, put them on desk, and then went on vacation. Seriously. Time to talk to a supervisor at NVC.

by the way - the AVR says something about sending fees to the "St. Louis facility." Interesting data point. I wonder if that is where the payment portal is sitting. Maybe it's a blue police box. Things are "timey-wimey" at NVC b/c all my fees are paid.

With schools starting back up and the summer coming to a close soon. I can only hope that this is what the case is and the person can come back soon.

I really thought long and hard about this and it is the only real thing that comes to mind that makes sense.

I hope I really get the case number by the weeks end, it really will make or break a Thanksgiving with the family for my wife and it's a special time at my house. It would be bittersweet to have her here for Thanksgiving as her first American holiday.

Sadly I am looking at an early November interview date now, unless I can have my buddy that is a writer write me up an amazing e-mail/letter to the Consulate for an earlier date.

I have been following this thread since I got NOA2 on July 11th. According to NVC, my 15 business days were yesterday. haha

I just called them and the operator said "It looks like we just received your case here yesterday from USCIS, please allow 4-6 weeks for us to enter it into our system"

I am not really panicking at this point because I filed in April. I honestly wasn't expecting to hear about NOA2 until September. The fact that its actually AT NVC, makes me happy. Look at the bright side everyone, your still ahead of the game according to what you initially thought it would be. Once September 1st hits, then freak out- for those of us that filed in April of course. Obviously the sooner the better for everyone, myself included.

Some of you won't agree with this but I'd rather look at the glass half full than half empty.

Cheers everyone! Hoping NVC does get stuff straightened out sooner rather than later.
