CSC - NOA2 to NVC Delay

i send them e-mail on july 6th. today NVC send me reply its says

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your

inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice.

Unfortunately, we do not have record of receiving your approved petition

from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The NVC will contact

USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition.

Well thats just flat out depressing...

I guess that is standard reply but we have to do what we need to do to keep the ball rolling from our side. I understand from another thread that CSC rep told one of us that they received a big box today. Let's hope that our cases are in that big box.

A CSC NOA2 date 6/15 saw the light on 7/8. I am expecting this week to be a good one for many of us. All whose NOA2 date is 6/19, please call an operator and then send out an email to nvcresearch@state.gov furnishing the USCIS Case #, Name and Date of birth of both petitioner and beneficiary requesting NVC to research on your case. All the best.

i try to e-mail on tht e-mail address bt it wont go thru. on july 6th i send them on nvcinquiry@state.gov

they reply today. nvcreserch@state.gov this address give to me one lady when i call NVC office.

can i send them e-mail agin on nvcreserch@state.gov or i have to wait.

I sent an email, received an instant auto response:

"We review and reply as appropriate to all e-mails in the order they are received."

I wonder if we have been knocking on the wrong door. Perhaps the CSC needs better incentives to getting those infrequent "big boxes" into more efficient, more frequent "little boxes."

Sorry Dave, I got into so many thread that I could get to that one with a message from a guy of a big box. I will send you the link as soon as I find it.

The reports didn't show any new updates. Hopefully some of us would be lucky to day. All the best.

I just called NVC but no luck. The rep was pleasant and said that it is technically 14th business day (approved on 6/21) and asked me inquire tomorrow and then to submit a email request, if case is still not received by them.

I tried to get additional information but in vain - no mention of any big box of cases received....... All he said is that they generally receive cases in week to 10 days but this time of the year it generally takes a little more time. I am hoping tomorrow is the good day for me. All the best to all others that are waiting for NVC Case Numbers.

In case anyone wants to see what the Adjudicator Handbook says on teh subject:

"(g) Decision: Approval .

If a case is ready for approval, the adjudicator must stamp the action block with his or her approval stamp and approved “security” ink. In some cases, the officer’s signature is also required.

Depending upon local procedures, a work sheet for clerical action may be completed, or the adjudicator may update the CLAIMS system to initiate generation of an approval notice to the applicant or petitioner and the attorney of record, if any.

In some instances, the adjudicator may manually complete processing. The adjudicator must then forward the case file for disposition: to the file room, the National Visa Center or consular post, or another USCIS office."

I would like to find out how long peitions can legall loiter in the mailroom at USCIS.

I am still waiting also, NVC emailed back last week and told me my case file was on route to them, what ever that means.

Interesting response. Your approval date being 6/14, I trust and hope that your case is received today or tomorow at NVC (6/13 guy was the last one to update of his case receipt at NVC).

My 15 days is on Wednesday but I emailed them anyway and got this reply:

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) has not yet received this petition from

U.S. Citizenship Immigration Service (USCIS). Please allow at least 15

business days from the date that your petition was approved, for your

petition to be received at the NVC.
