The average is 30 days, so you should be getting you case number anytime now - keep checking the automated message system and call an operator once a day - hopefully 7/29 Friday or 8/1 Monday may your days unless yours is a special case like singhisking's.

Is there a way to sign up like USCIS on the DOS NVC to receive updates via text or email?

The DOS site is so not straight forward.

Just talk to an operator, they said normal process for AOS generation takes 10 to 20 days... and your case was transferred from F2A to CR1 on 20th July....

So I guess more waiting for AOS bills...

Since you got your Case Number and I am presuming that you gave them both your email addreses. Now NVC will correspond with you through those email addresses and not through regular mail. You will get an AOS Fee bill email in 5 - 6 days from the time you got your case number. your alien spouse will get an email of DS-3032 but you don't have to wait and I trust that it was already sent using email DS-3032 form.

You can always logion to the NVC Payment web site to check to get to the next step or wait for the email, which pretty much happen on the same day (I got email of AOS fee on 7/25 and the Payment system was available to pay on the same date - just a few hours early).

Well I FINALLY got a different response, NVC claims to have our case, just not in the system and obviously no number yet!! Not that I didn't already know this was the case, but I'm glad to hear it outright. That's hope for all of us

Just called NVC and the operator told me they had received the petition but it has not been enter into the system and it could takes 10-20business days!!

There is no system for your to track your package like you did for USCIS.

Your tracking system is call the operator and asking whats the status of your file.

I call twice a day, sometimes more...

I did not say I received my case #. I was asking about tracking but thanks for the information.

Congrats! Calling daily does seem to help. NVC is moving slowly and there are a lot of steps in paying the 2 fees and sending in the I-864 and DS230. Keep after them!

Just spoke to operator who said has not received my case and my NOA date is JUNE 23. I am so upset!!! I have called everyday and have sent numerous emails to NVC Research and Inquiry with no response. She said I just have to wait. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she went to transfer me and hung up! I just want to cry. I'm at work and can't keep calling until I get home tonight.

I feel like this whole month has been wasted :ranting:
