My approval date was 6/23. I've sent several emails and still no case number not even received. I havent been able to get through to the NVC today. Busy Busy Busy :cry: :cry: :cry:

Hi all, I just talked to the NVC and the lady told me that they don't know why our files aren't coming in and they are trying to figure it out.

Thanks, its just that I've been doing this for 15 months and I'm so tired of being with out my husband. I know I still have another 3 to 4 months before interview. :bonk:

I'm really glad things are moving, but I would really like a number!!! Why are they not giving any? I called today, waited an age, and then they claim they have never seen it, smae answer I get every time I've called. Have you sent a copy- yes okay YES, I sent the NOA2 copy weeks ago. I sent an email to nvcresearch and I hope I get an update, but it will likely be "yeah it's on the desk somewhere" in legalese. Come on!!

Wow that is really an outlier.. they have been pretty consistent in doing these in order of NOA2 date (within a day or two).. Have you tried to talk to a tier 2 person at NVC?

Do you think they do it by consulate? Basing from the last digits of my case number i am 100+++ th case created for Philippines today. Does that mean they have entered more than 100 cases today?

EXAMPLE

NWD2008521001

Read the last 3 numbers in the case number. It tells you the order it was assigned to the consulate that day. In this example, it is "001" so it was the first case created for the New Delhi consulate on January 21, 2008.

Just wondering...not sure about it though. :blush:

Congrats and welcome to our world of next level of waiting. Unfortunately from here onwards the previous timelines don't make any sense.

NVC now say that it will need 2 weeks to correct the NVC Case number - no option but to wait - at least they didn't loose the case papers.

USA

01/08/13 - Approved and GC is order for production on 1/8/14

09/12/13 - Case transferred to CSC. NOA2 received on 09/18/13

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11

Wasn't aware I could talk to tier 2 in NVC. I emailed them a couple of times and the latest email which is on the July 6 told me that they contacted USCIS and my petition is en routed to NVC on July 5. The lady on the phone told me that they "might" enter the petition later the day and that i can call back before midnight or tomorrow morning.

Yes, the last 3 digits indicate the serial number of the day. So if your case number has 100 as the last 3 digits, then your is the 100th case entered (not fully) into the system to generate your case number. Remember CSC has been approving cases quite fast.

I was wondering the same thing.. The first confimred 6/24 NOA2 to get an NVC number.. Like spotting a rare bird in the forest :)
