Anyway, at least it is found now. I will continue to harrass them I guess.

That is hilarious. Not the situation, I mean, just... if you're going to tell people nonsense, at least have a common answer. I think I've seen 15 business days and 30 days on this forum alone for "waiting to be processed at NVC time." Even 15 is absurd. This is supposed to take like 2-4 days. Please hurry up NVC!!! They have certainly stalled, don't you think? Most days at least some action occured, I'd come to the forum and someone would have gotten a number. This is very sad. I want progress! :ranting:

YES! PROGRESS!

I totally agree that there is nothing going on, that it used to be that people were getting case numbers.

I think that a pdf is a standard way to go. Usually, scanned documents are pdf's. If you have an image (like you might have taken with your cell phone) you can turn it into a pdf by "print to pdf" option when you print something.

The email:

To whom it may concern,

This is a request to locate the I-130 approved petition which was processed at the USCIS California Service Center and forwarded to the National Visa Center. A scan of the I-797, Notice Of Action is included here as an attachment.

My hubby emailed them twice.

1st email they replied:

(July 16)

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not have any record of receiving your petition. If your petition was approved more than 15 days ago, please email a scanned copy of your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action - Approval Notice to NVCResearch@state.gov. Please type the receipt number in the subject line of your email and include one attachment/case per email. We will contact U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on your behalf to locate your petition.

My hubby followed the instructions given.

2nd email they replied:

(July 20)

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) to locate your approved petition. USCIS has informed the NVC, that your petition is en route to the NVC. Once we have received your petition, the appropriate agent will receive further instructions within 6 to 8 weeks.

Then we waited...patiently.

...and he received an email from NVC today stating that they recently entered our case in their system.

I guess more approvals this week. Good luck to our journey!
