WHOA! That is SCARY sounding!

But upon closer inspection, it sounds like they have the wrong address for you. I think you can change your address by calling 1-800-375-5283, but also by logging into your account.

I think if you change this as soon as possible it will be fine. By the way, did you receive the NOA1 with no problem and haven't moved since then?

For me, my name was slightly misspelled on both NOA's but I only noticed it on the second one.

GOOD LUCK!

Omg not feeling happy with this:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) contacted U.S.

Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) to locate your approved

petition. USCIS has informed the NVC, that your petition wil be en route

to the NVC. Once we have received your petition, the appropriate agent

will receive further instructions within 6 to 8 weeks.

Okay so they can't spell (which really is amazing), but WILL BE??? That's not at all what I was hoping for. I know it doesn't mean much, but all of your response have said "is" en route. What is going on here NVC? I guess I wasn't in the batch? Sad face.

All the cases are at NVC only - there is big backlog due to CSC approving a lot of petitions (they gave us a wrong picture by giving VSC case numbers as those are very few). I got my case number on 7/22 (NOA2 6/21), but nothing I will be able to do for another week (except provide email addresses & send DS-3032) - they are yet to enter the case details into their system, after which only we will get AOS fee bill...... Further they are messing up in assigning the correct Case number, at least in my case - they assigned me a case number starting with BMB (indicate the US consulate at Bombay) instead of MDR (indicate US cosulate at Madras) :bonk: . I am just off the phone with them - they are correcting it and said that it will take 15 days..... - then said that it may not take any additional time, as the case is still to be to entered into the system.

So, don't panic that your cases are lost...... I know it is very frustating but at least the cases are not lost all will get your case numbers slowly. Then there would be another 7 - 10 days time to get the cases entered into the system to start anything meaningful.

good luck everyone.

It is because there were a large number of petitions filed in March and April, 2011. Then CSC approved record number of petitions in June, 2011. Added to that the 4th July long week-end and summer vacations, which is causing all this delay.

By the way all the cases are at NVC and they are slowly clearing the cases in order by taking additional time at providing case numbers (30 days) and entering the cases into the system ( 7 - 10 days). Be ready for futher delays in completion of cases and proving interview dates.

AOS fee is not dependant on DS-302 but the IV fee does. It is alright to send DS-3032 as soon as you get your NVC Case number.

Standard answer to get the full details into the system is 15 days - I think it should be in 5 - 7 days. Keep checking the system using your Case # and IIN.

I understand that they are now not giving IIN numbers, even thorugh they have those (IIN gets generated as soon the case is entered into the system), because they are preventing sign in till the full details are entered. The operator tried to avoid giving me my IIN but I insisted and got it - having it helps in checking the payment online access.

I loggon on 7/22 but and saw that the beneficiary name was blank now get sign on failure

Yeah, even when I was asking for IIN#, operator was just making excuses... but she finally gave it to me... but that's interesting why you are getting sign on failure, Is it because of wrong case# provided before by NVC?

Exact same thing here.. They were reluctant to give me the IIN number and when the NVC operator finally gave it to me he warned me not to attempt to log in yet because it would interfere with them entering information. I ignored this and immediately logged in and saw the AOS bill (no invoice so no way to pay).. I then sent in the DS-3032 and the next time I logged into the payment system I saw the Sign In Fail which freaked me out "What have I done!".. I am still getting the SIF but it sounds like that is standard at this point.. Really hoping to get the AOS and IV packet bills paid this week.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect
