For the interview...immigration lawyer told us we only needed the I-134 and the last year'ss tax return, but the interview checklist states we also need the I-864......so do I also need to file that form for my fiance to bring with her to interview?

Would I have submitted that form previously when we originally applied for the Fiance visa?

Fiance visas don't need the 864. The 864 is only for other visas. I know, it's confusing because it's on the checklist, but you don't need it. You will fill it out for adjustment of status after you enter the states, however.

Proof of current and continuing income is typically submitted. Recent paystubs and an employer letter are commonly used to support the income claim.

I-864 will be used for your AOS, not for your interview. Just file I-134 for now. My then fiance (he's the USC) and I submitted an employment letter (featuring his annual salary, how long he's been working there and that he has a good standing), a banking letter stating for how long his account has been opened and how much he deposited a year, his last 3 pay stubs and last tax income.

If I remember correctly, I-134 also asks the USC fiance to declare mortgage value, bonds, and other investments. If he/she is above the 125% poverty line mark they won't look into it for more than a split second...

US citizen since April 2016

ROC completed April 2014

AOS from K1 completed February 2012
