Hello. I work for major Airline. I have met my future wife in Russia back in 2009. She has gotten a US tourist visa and had been visiting me every 1-3 month. I even was taking her a a trips with me from New York to Tel Aviv, Brasil , many cruises out of Miami. We decided to get married, and had our wedding and ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida. She has a sick grandmother, so she did not want to stay in US while we file I-130, so she went back to Russia. I filed I-130 and had got confirmation from California office (June 29/2011). As I mentioned earlier that I work for airline, so my wife is flying for free. She still has a valid US visa, and I would like to have her come to Us for 10 days ( without intend to stay ).

Question: will she have any problems entering US?

How long does it take until she will get her interview.

Thank you

No one knows if she will have problems. Probably not, but to minimize her chances of having problems she should probably travel with ties to Russia

You can expect a wait at USCIS for 5 months (where your petition currently is)

then another 2-3 months at NVC

Then another 2 (or so) months for the interview

Add that all up for approx 8-10 months

Good luck

Hello. here is me again with asking advice. Well, my wife did not travel on her tourist visa, and we followed all the procedures.

Her I-130 was approved Dec. 06/2011. Her interview was January 17/2012. Than waited.... No answer. When I was emailing the embassy, the answer was (and still is) : Thank you for your inquiry.  Unfortunately, the case is still under review. I have written to Congresman, and he inquired on my behalf, but answer remains the same.

My wife was in US 22 times. Never overstayed nor broke any law! We are very law obedien people.

It's been 4 month science her interview. We already had a baby girl born in Russia on May 9.

Can anyone advice me how I can fight this bureaucracy , or what else I can do?!

Thank You

If she already has a tourist visa she should be fine in most cases. However, it is still advisable to have her bring evidence of ties to Russia. If it helps, I've entered three times on the VWP since I got married and not even a single hint of trouble ever.

On the first occasion, the officer asked who I was meeting, I said "wife is meeting me at the airport" and that was it, no more questions. Maybe he assumed she was Norwegian too, who knows. On the second occasion the officer didn't ask who I was meeting, just how long I was staying. On the last occasion, I actually entered with my wife and her US passport, and the issue wasn't even brought up by CBP once. The officer just asked how we were related, and how long I was staying.
