I am currently on unemployment. I read somewhere that as long as the person has employment at the time that the affidavit of support needs to be shown at the interview, that it shouldn't be a problem. I'm curious if anyone knows if it would be unwise to file as soon as possible to get the ball rolling and make sure I have employment before the affidavit needs to be shown or if it is necessary to have employment before I even start filing for anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you :]

P.S. I know that you have to make 125% of the poverty level for the affidavit support but am a bit confused on how that is calculated. What if I have had a job that with the hourly rate, over a period of a year would be over the level, but I've only had the job for a month or two. Would I still qualify or would I need to get a joint sponsor?
