and

why you mail monies? why not use online payment portal ?

and

You have MEP case #, or not ?

and

*** not a K-3 visa question, moving to IR-1/CR-1 visa forum ***

Did you mail a personal check? If it hasn't cleared, put a stop payment on the checks and use the online payment portal.

If you have a MEP case number, then you will be required to do Electronic Processing (EP). If you have to do EP, then the NVC will electronically transfer the file to the Consulate in CDJ instead of shipping it which will save some time.

NVC will schedule an interview based on what the Consulate tells them they have available for a given time period.

I didnt know we could pay it online, my lawyer never told me about it. I asked my lawyer how she payed the money orders and she said they only mails them. Ive called the visa center like 5 times to see if theyve recieved the;m but nothing. Plus, the visa center and my lawyer told me i cant send the I-864 until they have confirmed the payment of the fees. So I m still waiting for that, (yes i have a case number)

Hey i do have an MEP case number! Is that good? What do you mean by Electronic Processing? What forms should i fill out while im waiting for confirmation on the fees? I heard something about filling out form DS-160 and DS-260, is that right?

yes, that's good.

If you paid visa fees via check, put a stop payment on the checks on tuesday.

Tuesday morning, call up NVC, tell them you need assistance with MEP, Electronic Processing for Mexico.

online payment portal is not EP related, anyone can use the online payment portal.

Electronic Processing is where documents, forms, etc. are scanned into a PDF file and the PDF file is emailed to the NVC. You can read about some basic information about EP from this State Department link. The file will ultimately be electronically transferred to the Consulate in CDJ.

From what I know of the DS-260, it's exclusively completed and submitted online. DS-160 is for non-immigrant visas that form will not be used in your case.
