S and I provided evidence of a visit using Facebook photos of us together featuring the recent upload date, printed off with the date of printing as well. How likely might it be that we'll receive an RFE with this as our only proof of visitation?

What else did you provide? pictures are secondary evidence. They look for things like passport stamps, visas, etc.

Photographs are only secondary evidence...One of you must have travelled... Do you have boarding passes? There must be passport stamps so you would send copies of those and hotel booking/receipts or anything else that proves you were in the same place at the same time within the last two years. Photos on their own are not enough.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

the documents mentioned show you were at a particular place at a certain time, but alone would not show you were physically together. Photos show you were physically together. both are important. I commonly see one labled as primary, the other secondary, perhaps because of how they are listed on VJ's guide. they compliment each other to prove you have physically met in the two years prior to the filing of the petition.

Well, OK. Maybe I Mis-understood your post. KEY WORDS: That Facebook is your only Proof. Heck, I take pictures of Mav and I on the web cam but thats not proof of anything really. Passports, Hotels, etc. What list for the 129-F Application did you read from? Facebook is acceptable for Conversations and a On-going Relationship, But I'm confused as to no Passport Stamps.. (You can't Travel without One) Maybe your Post was not Complete enough for us to Understand. Did you Travel there and have Proof besides Facebook. ?

If by "visitation" you mean "meeting in person within the last two years" no it's not enough. Please clarify.

If this is all you provided, then I agree with the others, it's insufficient. What else did you provide in terms of evidence along with the forms?

Fact is, the upload date to facebook doesn't prove the pictures aren't from ten years ago. If you guys were in the photo with a newspaper showing the date....now that wouldn't be sufficient evidence either but it would at least convince me!

Anyhow, as you have already sent it off I wouldn't worry about it. Just get together additional evidence so that if you receive a RFE you will be able to reply asap :-)

Thanks to everyone for the input. We did have the idea to take our photo with a newspaper, although I don't know why we didn't follow through. We have boarding passes and the like saved up. As for passport stamps there are fewer of those since customs agents tend not to bother in my experience, but there may be enough to show a connection. Thanks for letting me pick your brains.

It seems you need primary evidence, do you have any? Visa, Passport stamps, plant boarding passes, tickets, motel rooms, taxi receipts etc. Don't try and short cut the system is will only slow it down.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

It great if you have plenty of stamps in your passport but in reality, all USCIS is asking for is solid proof(whether it's one time or 15) that you have in fact been in the same country(or city). If you get an RFE just scan/copy entire passport, both petitioner and beneficiary's if you've visited each other.

Plane tickets are not as strong evidence as passport stamps. Some don't have the year on them and you can get a boarding pass without the departure. If you're thinking of including them make sure they have dates and year.

If you spent a night i a hotel and added your name, use it. If one of you used your credit cards in foreign country while visiting, use receipts showing withdrawal and name of credit card holder to match receipt.

Together with pictures(dated and location) it may help USCIS to establish a timeline.
