Hi VJ Members,

I'd like to ask where in the IR-1 visa process would I be needed to submit the police clearance? If I already have a police clearance, do I still need to submit a NBI clearance? Will I submit it to NVC or during the interview at US Embassy in Manila only. Please help, Im a bit confused.

Jan 13, 2012 - AOS paid (Only appeared as PAID on 1.17.2012)

Jan 14, 2012 - DS-3032 accepted

Jan 17, 2012 - IV invoice received & paid

Jan 22, 2012 - Mailed AOS & IV packages to NVC

Jan 30, 2012 - RFE/Checklist for I-864

Feb 01, 2012 - Mailed the IRS tax transcripts to NVC

they dont ask for philippine police clearance.they're asking for an NBI.if you have been married before..(like me)i advice you to get an nbi that has an AKA thing from your previous married.kasi yan ang nakatagal sa visa namin.pero never ka pa nag pa annul mas maganda.nbi lang ang kailangan mo. good luck!!

You will need the NBI clearance and only the NBI clearance. You will need to submit that to the NVC with your DS-230.

02/10/2011... rec. hardcopy NOA-1 in mail...priority date..01/31/2011.....sit back relax and ride this slow mule!!

My asawa got 3 copies of all important docoments like any from NSO, and NBI.......your'll need to send one copy to the NVC, and also bring one copy to interview, just in case, and have a spare in case any gets lost ok.... :thumbs:

You'll need 2. One for NVC and one for the interview.

October 2008 - we first met each other at work (Makati, Philippines)

February 2010 - we finally admitted that we are in love (yay!)

Mar 18-Apr 5, 2010 - hubby went to the Philippines for vacation to celebrate his birthday

March 31, 2010 - engagement day!! yay!!

August 21-29, 2010 - hubby went back again to PH for the wedding prep

October 19-November 2, 2010 - hubby arrived in PH for our wedding :)

October 23, 2010 - WEDDING DAY!!

March 18-28, 2011 - hubby's visit to Philippines for his bday (2nd bday together)

USCIS Stage - 136 days for USCIS journey

December 2, 2010 - I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

December 6, 2010 - I-130 received!! yay!!

December 13, 2010 - NOA1 text message received!

December 16, 2010 - NOA1 hard copy received in the mail

April 28, 2011 - NOA2!!! Thank you LORD!

NVC Stage - 21 days for NVC journey

May 2, 2011 - NOA2 hard copy received in the mail; NVC received our case

May 6, 2011 - Case number and IIN ; DS3230 sent by beneficiary through email to NVC

May 10, 2011 - AOS bill invoiced and paid

May 13, 2011 - IV bill generated and paid

May 16, 2011 - IV bill shows "PAID" ; AOS and DS230 packets sent to NVC

May 18, 2011 - NVC received both packets

May 19, 2011 - Medical exam - PASSED!!! :)

May 27, 2011 - Sign in Failed and Case Complete!!! Woot!

June 9, 2011 - Interview date assigned

July 14, 2011 - Interview @8:30am - APPROVED!!!!

July 21, 2011 - Visa Received! FINALLY!

July 23, 2011 - POE - Salt Lake City, Utah *home sweet home*

I still have another follow-up Question:

I understand that the Phil. NBI has 2 parts. The upper part and the lower part. The lower part is printed "PERSONAL COPY". Do I have to tear it off (the lower part) before sending it to NVC? Or do I need to send the whole page?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you will submit the NBI and NSO documents to the NVC.. Make sure you get the orginals one from them do not send in photo copies or us notrized copies they wont accept them... so have her mail them to you via snail mail or best yet pay the 40 dollars to have the fedex to you. but you will need the original issued one.. i sent copies buy mistake and got notice they wanted the originals.. so again make sure you have the originals you will be able to request the return of all orginal documents at the interview
