Exactly! I know that July 12 date it is to keep us who are NOT approved from worrying. They do not know that we know about this website. Without this website we would be ignorant to the truth. Also, by checking the case #'s near our own we have realized that we are getting closer day-by-day.

Actually, I'm fairly certain the purpose of the 'official processing date' is to prevent 90% of people from being able to put in service requests. Since they can simply refuse on the grounds that you're NOA1 date is later than the processing date they pulled out of their rear end.

Trips:

Jan2010 - First Trip, met in person

Jul2010 - Trip two!

Nov2010 - Trip Three, Got engaged :)

Feb2011 - Trip Four. Spring Festival, Lucky Money all around :D

April2011 - Trip Five... Going to the chapel...

July2011 - Trip Six... Honeymoon in Xiamen :D

October2011 - Trip Seven... Beijing and the Great Wall :)

January2012 - Trip Eight... Chinese New Years and Spring Festival! More Lucky Money! :D

April2012 - Trip Nine... Interview?

Paper work for CR1:

28 July 2011 - 20January 2012 - Day 175... USCIS at CSC finally processed our paper work.

30January2012 - NVC 'received' the paperwork

6February2012 - NVC GUZ case number assigned - Attempted to OPTIN to EP.

7February2012 - NVC GZO (EP) case number assigned

8February2012 - 27February Massive delay caused by sending the EP OPTIN email too soon :(

28February2012 - AOS Fee Paid

29February2012 - AOS Fee shows paid, AOS Package sent in

5March2012 - IV Fee shows paid (paid on 3March), IV (DS-230) Package sent in

6March2012 - AOS Rejected due to minor error, corrected version emailed in

8March2012 - Email received indicating AOS correction and DS-230 review in process

9March2012 - Case Complete Email - END NVC PROCESS

15March2012 - Interview Scheduled: 18April2012 (Document turn-in: 17April2012)

I am very convinced that this is the case! I do not like calling them at all.

I finally lucked into someone who said they would put in a service request for me. They never responded to it, that I know of. However, that could be because we were finally approved prior to the deadline for the response. Needless to say, I didn't bother calling USCIS back to follow up at that point.

Just received my case approval for my Wife's I130 Petition @ 10pm ET to be exact.

"On February 10, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN"

To be honest with you I just lost excitement to be happy/joyful because it was painful enough, for both my wife and I, knowing that another new long journey will begin with NVC. I'm really afraid that the law of newton will be applicable in this process and NVC will be as backlogged as CSC started to clear their side. Anyway, I contacted me Rep back in 1/20/2012 (almost 6 month mark) then my Senator on Monday 02/07/2012. Was it the reason? I'll let you call it:

"The California Service Center has acknowledged that your case is outside normal processing times. The agency has assured our office that every effort is being made to adjudicate your case as quickly as possible, and they have asked that our office allow thirty days for the agency to resolve this issue.

Our office is scheduled to follow-up with the agency at the end of this month, if you still have not received a decision on your case"

OR

is it the 6.5-7 month deal???

For my own sanity, I'll call it Rep®/Sen® to be politically correct.

I'm so sick of watching people who've waited less time than me get their NOA2s. I'm so frustrated. Why can't they do them in order?

I've been wondering the same thing. It took around 10 days for NVC to "receiving" our file from USCIS and then about another week to get a case number. Since that time, we were able to email in our DS-3032 and convert to the Electronic Processing system. After that however, we've come to a stop waiting for the AOS and IV Billing.

You can take it as somewhat good news that other people who entered NVC around the same time have been sailing along for the most part without serious delay. Additionally, this is the stage where you finally have some control over how fast the process goes.

Good luck. :)

What are they doing just randomly pulling out cases from the boxes? I was told my case was with an officer. I notice cases near mine already approved. This is injustice to the max!!!!!

No, I do not mind at all! I called the congressman and they did a status inquiry for me. I had to go to that level to get it because the NCSC inquiry was useless. Therefore, the congressman's office informed me that I was with an officer and that if I do not hear anything by February 20th to inform them with a call and then they will inquire once again.

For what it's worth I just as well not be with an officer. He is skipping all around me! I have witnessed cases all scattered around me getting approved on the 3rd, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th and here I am still waiting! It is really upsetting! I do not know what order they work in. I think they just randomly pull your case out of a bin.

We were told the same thing. I think your NOA1 is the same as ours? I am trying to remain optimistic. After 200+ days it gets harder every coming day to remain that way. I am trying to find things to keep me busy. In the back of my mind I just keep imagining the time I have to spend here added with the AP time and that is hurting me so much. I really pray that this week we will hear something.
