I have contacted our congressman also and we are awaiting a letter from them. How long did it take to hear from USCIS after they got involved? Still waiting 6 months and several days here....

I called them at day 151 on the dot. I called both of my Senators and my Congressman. One Senator's immigration person blew me off. The other promised to check into it. The congressman's person said he would call CSC immediately, as he had some contact inside CSC to call. He then called me back within an hour or two and said I would need to wait a couple more weeks.

A couple of weeks later I called him back and he said he remembered that was the day to follow up. So he called CSC again and spoke to someone there. That someone told him that he would pull our file and get it processed by that Friday. This was all on 17January. I got the NOA2 Email in China on the 20th.

Unfortunately, this proves what I've suspected for a while. One, it only takes a few minutes to process our files once it finally gets on someone's desk. Two, whereas getting your congresscritters involved in the process is always a good idea, the results may vary widely. The Senator's staff who didn't blow me off never did call me back.

Well, the wife and I are at wit's end here. She had to fill out a privacy release form. Did you not have to do this also? I think I will call the congress office myself because my wife's phone is not working. Am I able to do this as the beneficiary? I figured it was a piece of cake to go over the applications once they are in somebody's possession. At this time I have no idea if I am with an adjudicator or just sitting in the pile. I was informed that all July cases have been transferred out of the storage facility though. That guy messaged my friend on facebook the other day and told him this. Do you all actually believe this was true to begin with?

On another note, I am unsure if this congressman can actually have much pull on our case I really pray that his staff will do their job. There is really no way of knowing if they will be able to assist me. I do not know how much longer we will have to wait we are approximately 191 days post NOA1. Therefore, I really pray that here soon we will get any kind of news. I would even accept the dreaded RFE at this point because atleast it would mean the case was looked at. Right now the unknown scares me. I am planning to bring the wife over here to stay with me in April or sooner. I am tired of being apart and she is also.

I didn't have to for my Congressman's staff, but did for both Senators. I honestly have no idea if you can call or not. Worse thing that happens is that they tell you no. I'm sad to say that I doubt your file is with a person right now. If it were, it would be processed in a day or two, no? As to the storage thing, I wouldn't doubt it.

On another note, I am unsure if this congressman can actually have much pull on our case I really pray that his staff will do their job. There is really no way of knowing if they will be able to assist me. I do not know how much longer we will have to wait we are approximately 191 days post NOA1. I know exactly what you mean about even being willing to except an RFE. It at least means progress, of a sort. I think the only reason my Congressman's staff was able to do something is he knew someone personally at CSC who was willing to take action. I was seriously considering saying to hell with the visa and just moving to China. We decided in the end that wasn't a good idea while the process was still moving. I'd make far more money in the States than I would in China.

Unfortunately, all I can suggest is what I've suggested before. Hammer the Senator's and Congressmen. :( You're way out of normal processing, so there ought to be something that can be done.

I just called USCIS and they are currently processing July 12. I hope we get our NOA 2 soon, the agent told me to wait for another week or 2.

You've no reason to believe that. :)

You're significantly past 150 days. I suggest you call your Senators and Congresspeople tomorrow and ask them to look into it. :)

At 200 days I'm thinking of calling in to request a case inquiry. Do you guys think it's worth it? Maybe I'm only a couple days away. Where's the "pulling my hair out" emote?

Congressmen and Senators involved? As to calling for a case inquiry, hell yes it's worth it. :) You guys are way past the point where I was calling them every other day.
