Well, Today I called USCIS again for the 3rd time! Trying to submit a service request. Unable to do it since it's within normal processing time. I insisted to either do that or to get an email address from the officer working on my case. I didn't get it because my case has not been assigned! WHAT!!!!???

After a few more minutes on hold, the customer rep said, I can expedite your case if you have one of the following reasons? -she read to me a list of reasons to expedite a case. Then she asked "which one do you fall into?":innocent::blink: hhhmmm welll can you explain "error of USCIS and Financial hardship" ...mmmm In a way she hint to choose "financial hardship" I did. Then she gave a reference number and said to call if I don't hear anything in 15 days. To be honest I don't even know if this will work. My husband is not really working in India right now, and he does have a job already waiting for him here. Hopefully, this will be enough proof, but I wasn't ready to submit an expedite. I Didn't even think about doing it. All I wanted to do is for them to KNOW that my case has not been touched since July 18 and that I'm here waiting.

Hopefully, if they see it they'll realize that it has been more than 6 months and approve it without asking for any additional info. Fingers crossed.

What are they doing to us? They said they denied the last service request so they will not look at the new one! Thank Allah we just sent a letter to our congressman! I pray he can get us out of this place! The nerve of these people! The operator said "be patient". How can anyone be patient?

Called in couple minutes ago, still June 16th story. I'm July 29th NOA1, so I asked if my case was even assigned to an officer or not, she said not yet as I'm still within processing time " They are 1 to 1 and 1/2 month behind, the time line displayed in the website is an estimate only. You can call back in the middle of February for an exact timing". That really mirror the 7 month processing time story that I've been reading around VJ Forum.

For some reason she reminded me of my Cable company customer service when I call in "low pay, miserable, only Job I found, I hate you because you called in, I'm professional because this call is recorded and I have bills to pay" type of reps. Feel sorry for them but this is a Gov establishment entity not a private sector. This is what you get when privatizing public services.
