Wow you got your hard copy fast!! I'm still impatiently waiting for a text or email.. :whistle: They received it on 6/30 and didn't send a reciept notice.. I hope to hear something today.

I sent it express mail I wanted the to get it quick yes.gif No I didn't get the hard copy yet, they sent me a text yesterday.. I logged onto USCIS and seen that the date was for July 3rd. You'll hear something real soon good.gif

Got our email/text notification of NOA-1 today. The receipt date is July 5, 2011. What should I do next? Wait for NOA-2, right?

Yeap now we wait.. But while waiting I'll be getting the DS230 filled out and ready to go and taking care of collecting any other items they ask to be turned in at the NVC level.

Thats my plan, too! I'll be filling out the DS-230 form and preparing all the attachments that goes with it. I'll be sending it to my husband perhaps, next week so that when we get our NOA-2, we will mail it in a snap! I cant wait!

I mailed our I-130 today! After leaving Fed Ex, I ran back in and begged the lady to reopen my envelope to make sure I signed my check :) I remember seeing this at least once on the stupid RFE thread. I had, and she was very nice about it.

The instruction says to Chicago, but I am seeing a lot of posts saying to Vermont, Texas, California, ect., so what's with all these different locations?

You send it the the Chicago Lockbox regardless of what state you are from. Everyone sends it there at the beginning.

From there USCIS will determine where they will send your application. Most likely it's gonna be California.

Also I hope you front loaded your application with a ton of bonafide evidence. You going thru one of the toughest Consulate/Countries for Immigration out there...
