Well an insider said that all touched on August 4th went into a large storage warehouse and we should hear something no later than January-February. Also, that we should start a service request after the 5th month mark!

Thanks for the info. It sounds like that ought to be read as "Congratulations, all people touched on 4August have been dropped down a deep hole labeled "When we get to it" :(

Sorry if I sound bitter. It is just supremely annoying, as you know I'm sure, to have August and even September people approved while we're apparently still sitting off in another building with no forward progress at all.

What I don't get is why that would mean extreme delays for us, but not for everyone in the months after.

Easy answer, if all our applications have been moved to another building "out of sight, out of mind". They don't notice us so they just forget about us and grab the next pile (August).

Trips:

Jan2010 - First Trip, met in person

Jul2010 - Trip two!

Nov2010 - Trip Three, Got engaged :)

Feb2011 - Trip Four. Spring Festival, Lucky Money all around :D

April2011 - Trip Five... Going to the chapel...

July2011 - Trip Six... Honeymoon in Xiamen :D

October2011 - Trip Seven... Beijing and the Great Wall :)

January2012 - Trip Eight... Chinese New Years and Spring Festival! More Lucky Money! :D

April2012 - Trip Nine... Interview?

Paper work for CR1:

28 July 2011 - 20January 2012 - Day 175... USCIS at CSC finally processed our paper work.

30January2012 - NVC 'received' the paperwork

6February2012 - NVC GUZ case number assigned - Attempted to OPTIN to EP.

7February2012 - NVC GZO (EP) case number assigned

8February2012 - 27February Massive delay caused by sending the EP OPTIN email too soon :(

28February2012 - AOS Fee Paid

29February2012 - AOS Fee shows paid, AOS Package sent in

5March2012 - IV Fee shows paid (paid on 3March), IV (DS-230) Package sent in

6March2012 - AOS Rejected due to minor error, corrected version emailed in

8March2012 - Email received indicating AOS correction and DS-230 review in process

9March2012 - Case Complete Email - END NVC PROCESS

15March2012 - Interview Scheduled: 18April2012 (Document turn-in: 17April2012)

This is really depressing, if this is true and they moved us to storage.. :(

My case was last touched on July 14th.. I'll be calling them after Dec 1st.. I'll be at 5 months by then.

This is so so depressing .. I will be 5 months in 7 days and the expected NOA 2 date just keep moving backwards...I will be going on vacation in the next 2 weeks and yet no NOA2...This is so crazy

Wow this really sucks. I had a feeling we were all in storage. I heard this happened years ago on here (there was an old post I found abou)t. I wonder if they will take us all out at once or if they will do it case-by-case or box-by-box. Any ideas?

What I mean is, why are they allowed to not do our petitions roughly in chronological order? Dealing with a large group later rather than sooner does nothing to lessen the total number of petitions.

Pretty frustrating that they can decide to bump us back, just because we don't live on the east coast or just because we applied in July, and there's nothing we can do about it.

Notice that she had not had that August 4th touch though.

Another thing since she filed in late June she may not have been placed in the storage bin. Therefore, you may want to ask her when she was touched last prior to her NOA2.

There are two dates August 4 and July 14 that means you were going into the bin. What about you?

Mine doesn't show that I was touched beyond the date of receipt (I think), but that might be because I didn't 'add my case' on my web account until a month or two into the process?

Sad to say, 4August here. Were you the person with the inside source? If so, did they happen to say when they were going to pull us all back out?
