I'm still waiting

The thing is some people just get lucky. I suppose that I am just in the bottom of the barrell. I am no longer waiting on the NOA2. I feel it will never come. I am just making plans to move to him now or to another country together.

Allah[swt] says: “You may have someone in your mind, someone in your heart, someone in your dreams, someone in your life, but I am your someone when you have no one"He[swt] reminds us saying "O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you." [[Qur'an:8:4]] So when you slip and fall, remind yourself of Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim, the One whose always there, just waiting for your Call!

Hang in there! It might not be much consolation, but we know how you feel. The bureaucracy is awful, but it's gonna come through for you guys in the end. Someday soon you'll be back together, and this will all be a memory.

I sure hope you are right! Well, atleast I have planned a trip. Just need to purchase my tickets tomorrow. It has been 8 months since I was with my love. It is hard to pass these days without him.

I pray we all get out of USCIS soon. I have a longer wait at the embassy because mostly ALL MALES at Islamabad get AP. So, many have waited anywhere from 3-12 months + on AP. I worry about this the most......I need to cross this barrier to get to that one.

Wow, 8 months is a long time! That must be terrible. We're just over four months apart since the last visit and that already feels way too long. What happens with AP? I gather it's embassy specific for 'high risk' countries? A lot of that stuff seems downright discriminatory :(

I tried (and failed) to immigrate to the UK in 2009. Now we're trying it this direction. Sigh, stupid bureaucracy is a universal language.

Hoping USCIS gets moving soon for the sanity of us all.

Hello! I am with you on this. I am trying to book tickets at a lowfare and the seats are all sold by the time I try to book it. Ugh! I am so tired off waiting on USCIS. If I do not go see him I will go absolutely insane! LOL At any rate, I am sorry you failed to relocate. I know that it is tough. Praying for all of us!

Over 3 months at USCIS, and still not a word from them. I feel us July-filers are very demotivated now... :(

If only I could offer some advice to USCIS to speed up their process through lean management to get things done more efficiently... but it's the government.

reg.ula.tion.me.ooow.2011 // tomcat.fight

to do list:
file i-130, petition for alien relative
get immigrant visa
get ssn card and green card
get employment authorization - not required
file I-751, petition to remove the conditions of residence (before 2nd year expires upon entry)
become a US citizen

Thank you Visajourney!

Hang in there, 5 months wait is fairly average. I filled in May and wasnt expecting to hear anything till september/october. So i wouldn't panic yet.

It's just frustrating when you see people, who applied after lots of others did, getting approved right away. I'm happy for those people and know at least some are medical expedites or military folks, but it really makes you wonder what's so hard about USCIS doing the other petitions in the order they were received. If my company treated clients like that without any hint of an explanation, we wouldn't be in business very long.

We didn't receive NOA1 (maybe because we filed our aplication thru DCF at the US embassy in Manila), We also didn't received NOA2 not even in email or text, but we received a letter (dated Oct.14) last friday (Oct. 21) with case naumber and instructions and forms (packet 3). Wow, what a surprise. :))

July 26, 2011 - Filed at the US embassy (DCF)

October 12, 2011 - NOA2

October 14, 2011 - Case number and Packet 3 received

October 25, 2011 - Interview appoinment confirmed

November 15-16, 2011 - Medical Exam, passed

November 25, 2011 - Interview, visa approved

I agree. If USCIS was a company to make profits like every other company, they would have gotten a bunch of customer complaints and gone out of business a long time ago.
