Sounds like USCIS has gone on vacation . In addition, vacation deals will start dropping in price  .

Nice timing USCIS!! I say we go hunt them down at their nice resorts on whichever island they are staying on and have them approve our cases off of their iphones.

It seems like USCIS and NVC are playing tag to keep those statistics down. They take turns at how fast they approve cases. Meaning that when USCIS works fast and gets a lot of approvals out, NVC is backlogged. Once NVC is backlogged USCIS slows down so NVC can catch up. That way they can keep the average processing time to 5 months.

I was one of the lucky May filers that was out of USCIS in 85 days ( including RFE) and now i am one of the unlucky ones that is sitting at NVC for 19 days with no case #

On a normal process NVC assigns a case number in 7 business days.

So bottom line is it does not matter in what stage of the process you are, we all end up having our patience tested. Some of you that are waiting at USCIS might get out of NVC in the same time as the ones that are still waiting for a case #

Good Luck to all

PS. All Nickky can think of is vacation :)))

 . "I'll be waiting patiently till I see the signs..." (Depeche Mode, from the song "It's no good", album "Ultra", 1997) :D .

Ya, was gonna add to my previous post that I130 approval right now is not of high importance to me, since tonight I'm driving to Canada, will pack my wife :P and we'll be flying on Sunday morning to Dominican Republic , will enjoy time with my wife and everything else  . And no USCIS :D.

Cipollina, thank you for your wishes !

Hey, May folks! Sounds like we got stuck, I mean May filers :D. Any news from anyone? RFEs, approvals, interviews scheduled ?

NADA. Last week it seemed like they were only approving K-1 filers and who knows what's going on this week.

we just received our NVC case number through AVR this morning. 26 days after NOA2. Now awaiting the invoices to show up.I need to send the documents before i go on vacation in 10 days.

Vacations are well deserved in this process. We are emotionally drained at this point, and my nerves and patience are shot

Good Luck everyone

Allegra, according to your timeline you should be getting your approval today and mine deadline is tomorrow . So, if we don't get it done this week, we may file a joint suit against USCIS . Just trying to cheer ourselves up.

The weather in Samana, Dominican Republic - is horrible. Rains, heavy winds. No sunbathing, swimming yet :(. And we're flying back to Toronto on Sunday :(.

Sorry to hear that the weather did not permit some sun bathing :)…on a positive note is better than a hurricane

When weather gives you lemons you make lemonade or lemon drop martini...whichever :)

I will stay in bed all day if I get bad weather on my upcoming vacation.

Hopefully you will get some sun in the remaining days

That's it. I am driving up to the field office to demand they look at our files (I have a feeling ours are in the same pile). Enjoy your precious time with wife, explore a little in the rain and before you know it... "the sun will come out, tomorrow - bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there will be sun." - cheesy at it may be, that is my new theme song these days.

I hope some people in California come back to work soon. It seems only 1 I-130 has been approved since August 12th. What on earth is going on out there? If I lived in California I might go ask about all the May filers petitions...but right now I am in Egypt and in a few days I will be back near Chicago.

I pray California throws out like 2000 approvals tomorrow...the sun will come out tomorrow...better day tomorrow...

I am a May filer as well. Today I checked my status and it shows my case being transferred to the National Benefits Center for further processing on Aug 16. I called USCIS to see why it was transferred and why I hadn't received a notice by mail. I was told that my case was sent to PUERTO RICO on Aug. 16???? WHAT???!!!! Why???!!!! I live in Louisiana!!!! And my husband is in Brazil!!!! Ughhhh, as if I haven't waited long enough....I am soooo agravated, right now...Oh by the way, the agent wasn't sure if my case was ACTUAL sent to Puerto Rico or if it was an error in the notes. So, basically, no one knows where my case is and that I would be notified by Aug. 29 of the status.

:bonk:
