I've canceled our trip from Chicago - didn't want to risk on loosing $2,000. I've called the POE in Port Huron (Michigan) and the officer did tell me that my wife's chances were 50/50 - depending which mood is officer in. Plus, since I'm sponsoring she won't likely to be allowed into the USA.

I've disliked the tone the officer was talking to me over the phone. It sounded they just can't wait for another person at the border to screw up.

Sorry to hear about that. Maybe is for the better. The system is open to personal interpretations so don't take any chances while your application is pending. Have fun on your vacation and hopefully we will end this immigration journey soon.

no news and no updates. Our RFE is been under review since the 20th of this month and there is not even one touch in our petition to give us some hope

Oh well, they say we should hear something from them in 60 days from the day the processing resumed so that will take us to the end of September ( right on the 5 month bracket) . we are ok with that as long as we are not forgotten in a storage room and forced to get congressmen and their mothers involved in digging up our file :)

Any updates from you?

It sounds like there only 2 May filers on VJ - you and me  (based on thread posting :D ).

No updates yet. Hope to get some news before I go on vacation. Because if the i130 approval gets delayed up to October, then we'll be screwed up with the PCC from Ukraine (as I've mentioned earlier).

This is the only reason I'm concerned about to a certain degree.

Good luck to you! I hope, these bureaucrats from VSC will move your case faster!

In this case the lesser the better. It might mean that you will get an approval sooner. In our case it means that we are screwed. Due to the RFE they put us in the back of the line. That is VSC for you.

There is no guarantee and convenience in this process so better have a a back up plan and sometimes even a third one. USCIS loves to through curve balls at people.

From what i have seen here in VJ CSC moves quick with the NO2 but is taking them over a month to transfer the files to NVC.Check out the Aril filers thread. Who knew that our government was so good at manipulating numbers :P

Hope you get your approval soon Niccky and everything works out smoothly for you

Thank you ! I hope you got a good feeling :) and it will come true.

Still couple more weeks before we go on vacation - I'm gonna drive to Toronto and then we'll fly from there to Dominican Republic. I hope we gonna get some real time-off and get ourselves ready for the future visa journey adventures.

My wife has called me and told that her PCC from Canada was ready. The only 2 things left: her BC heeds to be translated and notarized. Plus, I keep reminding her to pre-fill DS-230, so that way she would be ready for her on-line DS-260 (she's going through Montreal).

How about you? Is all paper work for NVC stage ready?

We signed the ds-230 the last time we were togather and is ready to go. The only things we are waitng for are the PCs.Albanian PC expire every 3 months so we could not get them before. They have been on the works since we replied to the RFE and should be here by the time NVC gets our file.First thing monday morning i will get a letter from my employer to verify my salary and emplyment status and we should be good. I ordered my tax transcripts last month and i got the fax and the mail copy already. I am planing on having everything done with NVC by the end of agust before we go on our little vacation.hopefully the file will be at the embassy by the time i come back and we will get an interview date.Things start to move fast after the NOA2 and there is more visibility to the process. Once you will get over the NOA2 hump Niccky the hardests thing we have to do is go through the interview.

I will keep you updated on how the process goes at NVC and let me know if you need any help since i will learn the steps as i go.

I will try to call NVC by the end of this upcoming week. Hopefully they will have the case number and IIN.

Thanks again for the support NIccky and wish you and your wife a speedy approval and a great time on your vacation

SAfe trip to the both of you

Vacation sounds so great right now. :)

It looks like NOA2 in 85 days is becoming the norm around May Filers so yours should arrive soon

I am still waiting for the NOA2 hard copy and hopefully we will have a case number by next week.Called NVC yesterday and nothing yet. I am getting inpatient :P. I guess USCIS played a number on my nerves
