It goes fast from here Nickyy

It look like you have all the docs ready so in about 10-15 days you should get case complete.2 more weeks after that to get the interview appointment letter and about 2 months from the cc to interview date.

How long are your wife’s PCCs good for?

My wife's PCC was issued on January 13th, 2011.

But if the interview date gets later after January 13th, 2012, I'm gonna call NVC or contact consulate about her problem, because if they smart enough, they should realize that Canadian PCC has more power and should be up-to-date. Because, renewing her Ukrainian PCC as of January 2011 in January 2012 doesn't have any logic and sounds pretty absurd. Hope for a speedy NVC throughout .

It seems like finance is your forte so I am confident that you will figure out what and how to charge your wife for all the work you are doing :)

:D

There is a member here that is very knowledgeable about the Canada process. The name is Saylin. Here is a thread she started for September NVC filers

Yeah, I know her . We've been in touch for a long. I've come prepared for the NVC stage long time ago thanks to her link for Montreal EP. She's really helpful person !

Good Luck and hope you guys get an interview date very soon :thumbs:

Thanks a lot, Cipollina !

Hey, I'm a may filer, but for K-1. Just wondering....for the CR-1, are you getting approved faster or the same, or slower than us K-1? Basically, how long is the time away from your spouse?

For K-1, between our NOA1 and NOA2 was 116 days, and now we're looking at another two or three months before he can come here.

Is it faster with the marriage visas?

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

no one can say for sure because it varies from case to case but the average CR1 is about 6-12 months. Fiance visas have been faster in the past but it does not look like that is the case anymore. Check out Igor's list. The other thing i can think of is that CR1 is faster in the long run. The whole process ends once the spouse enters the country. The K1 you have to adjust status once the fiance gets here. K1 is more expansive.

Yeah we seriously thought about doing the visa that you are doing, but we did K-1 cause it was supposed to be faster. So far it seems about the same time frame.

Are any of you close to having your spouses home in the US yet?

we just completed the NVC processing and awaiting the interview date which is taking forever ( in my opinion ). Hopefully if everything goes smooth than we are looking for a latte November/early December POE.

Most of the CR1 MAy filers here are going through NVC. So we are looking at 7-8 months till process complete.

Hope this helps

Good luck and wish you a speedy and smooth journey

Today I got everything from NVC  :

1. My OPTIN request was accepted.

2. Got first official e-mails from NVC, including instructions on how to deal with NVC, make payments etc.

3. And got my AOS invoiced!

Even I can choose an agent (DS261 for EP or DS3032 for regular process).

I hope, the backlog at NVC is being dissolved, so you, guys, will have a speedy process at NVC !

I called nvc this morning. The lady told me that it looked like they received my case on Sept 14. Called by chance again tonight and another operator said it looked like my case got there the end of Aug. and it should be a couple of more days. Nothing there makes any sense at this stage of the process.
