Hi! your post was very helpful to me when i was arranging my AOS papers. I already sent it to USCIS and now i was just waiting for the result. By the way, did you also post a guide what to do during the interview at the DHS during acquiring for biometrics? Like what to do and what to bring? I hope you can give me some advice for that. Thanks

Biometrics is easy!! There's no interview and it will take about 10-15 minutes.. All you need is your passport and appointment letter. They will take your fingerprints and get your height, eye color, hair color etc.. That's it! :)

Nope, those who aos from k1 do not need to send that in the initial packet, but you should have it ready with you just in case you get an interview :) i suppose it wouldnt hurt to send it in, but based on the instructions on the i485 and the vj guides, its not necessary. I didnt even send pictures! Just the marriage cert and noa2 :)

Hey, all!

So I feel like an idiot-- I've been waiting for our marriage certificate in the mail since we got married (10/28) and I finally called and they said they don't even automatically send us a copy until we request it! UGH- so annoying! But-- we have everything we need now and are just about to have a "visa date" (we've had these at almost every step-- spend the day compiling the packet together and then have coffee or dinner out) this week for AOS.

My question is that I have heard many people saying to send in proof that we are living together and a married couple in the AOS packet-- pictures of the wedding, joint utility bills, him as a beneficiary on life insurance, joint insurance, etc. Is this true? Should we "front-load" this with evidence as well, or do you wait for the interview?

Thanks! :)

k

Edited- Oh, wow, do I feel clueless. Just read this last page. Heh. :) Talk about a repeat question!

Well, that makes things easier, since we don't have our first joint dental/health insurance confirmation yet.

Good luck to all.

1. I noticed for the cheque, you put payment for "N-400" may i ask how come?

2. What is your explanation for eligibility for AP?

Many thanks! hope you are keeping well

Thats just an example,i copied the one here on vj guide :) and my explanation is just "to be able to travel while aos is being processed if need be"
