I'd leave it and buy a new one. When you consider how much it will cost in adapters and how much it will cost to physically ship all that equipment, I think you'd be better off just buying new.

Plus, the funds (from selling it) can be useful for journey as well as startup of bank accounts.

It's not that big.

As the AMP / CD Deck are seperate I was going to put it in a suitcase with the speakers and bring it over on the plane!

We are planning on getting married in Vegas at the end of January. It appears to be a popular destination and a lot of friends and family want to come over for it.

I'm planning on buying a lot of cheap suitcases and giving everyone a spare case to bring over filled with my stuff. As you are allowed to bring 2 cases with you and everyone will only need one case.

A couple points to think on:

1.Electronics do not travel well in suitcases

2.The electronics might look like something else, which could really be a detriment to passing the immigration officer

If you must bring them, I would recomend Fedex, DHL or one of those. Proprerly packed of course, with a bill of lading.

As a thought, if you sell them there, you would probably pay about half as much here. Things are typically dollar to pound and you could make our quite well.

Annies family did the same with suitcases and brought alot over, but I would not recoemnd large electronics.

Also, another problem with "accompanying visitors" bringing extra suitcase. US immigration officers may view short term visitor with two suitcases as red-flag (too much luggage for short visit).

Best to sell the electronics l-s-b, use the funds for journey and new bank accounts, then purchase NEW (if you want to get it cheaper, e-bay is available).

if as a visitor they bring 2 suitcases and tell the immigration officer that they packed the bags themself what "red flags" are going to be sent up???

If they said they had not packed the bags themselves, that would be a problem.

If the airline allows you 2 bags and you bring 2 bags, you state you are just coming for a holiday and you have a return ticket, I can't see immigration being the slightest bit interested in a visitor from London going to Vegas for a weeks vacation.
